William David Burrows

Today Mr. Burrows and I were finally able to meet after months of virtual consultations for my DWI case and it was an absolute pleasure. I can’t say I’ve ever worked with someone more poise and knowledgeable at the position than Mr. Burrows. For what I thought would be a lengthy process with multiple... negative implications/convictions, Mr. Burrows was able to make sense of the case with the judge, bargain an amazing offer and I was able to leave court without penalty, jail time, probation or fees. David helped me through the entire process from understanding the charges to expungement. In the search for an attorney, I found that most wouldn’t return my calls. David was always available at least via text despite being highly recommended by 3 reliable sources. David was referred to me by a friend for my DWI. I was hesitant when I showed up. Attorneys are seen as someone not concerned with anything but their fee. Instead I found that he really wanted to know what happened and why. So then I just laid it on the table. He said “Ok. Now I know really what I... am working with and how to help you”. He helped with my ODL so I could get to work while the court processed my case for over a year. I had my sentence and probation for two years with a breathalyzer on my car. Right now you are saying. Ok, he did his job. That wasn’t the end of it. Throughout the process I texted him with questions. For instance I let my ODL expire and couldn’t get it renewed onlin or on the phone. He called me and told me what I needed to do to get my license back so I could work. I have referred anyone that has a friend of a friend to him. They have all called me and thanked me.

He came highly referred from a Federal professional, and it became apparent from day one why his clientele care so much for him to aid in navigating the legal system here in Texas. What can I say? David is hands down the best. Collin is a rough county to get a DWI in with an almost 0% dismissal rate but HE DID IT. I never even had to go to trial. He showed the prosecutor our defense and they immediately filed a motion to dismiss. David won’t sugar coat a single thing. He’ll giv...e you a worst case scenario, outline the positives and negatives that may both help you and hurt you in your case and will make 0 promises. A good lawyer should never make you any promises in regards to case outcome, and he never did but he definitely delivered. No complaints. He saw me have several emotional meltdowns over the course of the year that it took to get my case dismissed and he never faltered once. The fact that he offers payment plans is also extremely helpful, especially right now during this pandemic. Hopefully I never go through this again, but if I do, he’s my first phone call.
