I tried to submit a really good review on my daughter's computer and don't know where it went. Mr. Smith did a good job on my estate and he knows real estate law really good too. He worked with me and another lawyer and did a job that I was happy with. I will recommend him to my family members and already have.
Mr. Smith has handled a divorce matter for me in the past and was brilliant. I had Mr. Smith and a couple of other lawyers involved, and by far Mr. Smith had the greatest insight and knew the most about the law during the entire process! He was on top of everything, constantly thinking about my case, and extremely well prepared in court. I would more than recommend Mr. Smith to anyone as it relates to divorce of family matters, and in fact also Real Estate matters since that too was involved in my divorce. He is multifaceted in his knowledge of the law with over 40 years of experience! Mr. Smith is a Baylor Law School graduate and incredibly the youngest litigation lawyer in the State of Texas at age 22 years old when he started trying cases! I was extremely happy with Mr. Smith's services!
Mr. Daniel J. Smith is a graduate of Baylor Law School. Mr. Smith has an undergraduate business degree from Texas A & M University at Commerce and has practiced law for over 40 years in Texas.

Excellent Lawyer and Friend
I have dealt with Daniel J. Smith for over 20 years, and found him credible, honest, extremely brilliant and a lawyer you can trust. I know this attorney well, I am an attorney, and I know he is very ethical. I also know the previous writer's situation and it is not a truthful rendition of what occurred. In fact, it is defamatory toward Mr. Smith and not truthful. Mr. Smith has handled cases for me personally, and as a lawyer I know he is very smart and smarter than any lawyer I have known while I have practiced law. Mr. Smith has handled my own cases for different matters and did a wonderful job. I have all confidence in him. I have no problems recommending Mr. Smith to anyone. He is one of the youngest litigators out of Baylor Law School, has handled many complex cases in his career, both civil and criminal, and is worth every penny of his fees.

Needs his license revoked
The lawyer, Daniel J. Smith of Jane Clark Law Office charged me $8,500 in six weeks time for my probate case, that I only went to court ONE time in two and a half months with, and still did not even get access into my deceased fathers townhouse. In that time, I did not even get my administration papers or my surety bond with him. He even lied to me, and told me that that bond was not approved due to a "clerical error". Funny, because when I called the man who worked at the surety bond company he said that the bond was fine. Apparently he never called the surety company back. He lied to charge more of his exorbitant fees for absolutely minimal effort.
He acts like he is working night and day on your case, and charges like he is a high-powered attorney. He is an absolute snake who preys on the weak. As if that isn't bad enough he chain-smokes in his office, as does his secretary Brenda and partner, Jane Clark. He constantly talked down to my mother and I, as if we are ignorant children and made us raise our hands to ask him a question, like we're in school! And said he "Is not going to be abused by our questions"! Isn't that what I'm paying you out the nose for?
The last time I saw him as his appalling (dump) of an office, and told him I wanted to cap his fees, (note that I had ALREADY paid $8,500 in 6 weeks time) he started a scene in his office and had his secretary come in to take notes of our conversation, and accused us multiple time of "filing a claim against him" because we were sick of him and his bull**** fees! He is an idiot who did everything wrong on our last two cases, partially to make more money for himself, and partially because he just doesn't care. You are better off with a court-appointed attorney then this sorry excuse for one.
