Biography
Mr. Harper specializes in criminal law defense. He has conducted over 60 criminal trials and handled over 3,000 criminal law cases. In addition to his defense experience, he has extensive experience as a prosecutor. He has handled all types of criminal law matters from basic misdemeanors to murder at both the juvenile and adult levels. Mr. Harper has tried cases involving drugs, firearms, DUI, murder and everything in between. Mr. Harper has achieved numerous courtroom dismissals and acquittals for DUI, robbery, and even murder.
Mr. Harper is an avid motorcycle rider in his free time. With over 27 years of riding experience. He has great experience in cases involving criminal charges against motorcyclists. This legal background, coupled with Mr. Harper’s 23+ years and 300,000+ riding miles covering 48 states makes him a great choice for matters involving motorcycle, club, and vehiclular charges.
Prior to attending law school at the University of Florida College of Law, Mr. Harper served on active duty in the United States Navy. He served as a Supply Corps Officer on board the USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN-69), a nuclear powered aircraft carrier stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.
In 2008, Mr. Harper was recalled to active duty and deployed to Khost, Afghanistan where is served as an embedded combat advisor to the Afghan National Army and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Achievement in that combat theater. Mr. Harper currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy Reserve.
