Beware - You have much better options

I hired Linda to handle my divorce and custody battle. She promised results as all attorneys do but got zero results. She was disorganized, appeared to have more cases than she could manage, a revolving door of support staff, and always had excuses for not being responsive or buttoned up. She talk...ed a good game at the beginning but in the end could not deliver progress or provide good legal strategy on how to navigate a heated legal battle. She did not perform well in front of the judge. She is not as expensive as some other attorneys, but if you want to save some money and NOT get your interests represented or defended as they should then maybe she is right for you. I say beware. She is not a strong attorney. How she can be in business for this long is a mystery.

Best Decision I Ever Made

I went to her with a coplex child custody and divorce case; she could not have handled it better and I wonder if some of the reviews are the other side to a divorce that she smoked. She was always available and would always listen to me. She was a fighter when I needed one and really got things don...e! From the very beginning to the very end, she was on top of my case and always had my best interest at heart. She was to the point and told me what I needed to hear, not always just what I wanted to hear. She was always prepared and always professional. Linda guided me through a very difficult situation and when it was over, made sure that everything was completed in a timely fashion. I used her after I fired my previous attorney and the difference was amazing. I always got copies of every document and she would be there to answer questions if I had any about what she sent. If I could not speak with her, she would make sure her assistant knew how to answer my questions. Her billings were fair and concise. I was truly blessed to find this attorney.

I highly Recommend Linda Risinger!

I'm currently a client of Linda's. She is a very up front and honest person. She doesn't beat around the bush and always tells it like it is. This can be intimidating to some, but that can be a very good thing during cross examination of opposing counsel. She doesn't have a platform (i.e. The Fathers... Attorney) such as someone like Randy Essenburg who claims to be for the kids but is really only for fathers with money. Linda is simply all about the client and the best interest of the children and the family as a whole. I recommend always being honest and open with your attorney and she is very good at taking the information you give her and presenting it very well in court. She is a great mediator and communicator and will work very hard on your case. She stays very busy with a lot of CPS and domestic violence cases and is in court a lot. She is highly sought out for her experience. Not every attorney is perfect but she's pretty awesome. If your looking for someone to coddle you all the time, she isn't the person to go to. She is great at calming ya down when you feel like you are about to lose it, but I would avoid calling every 15 min or even every day. She's simply too busy to handle that need for communication from a client. I will go to say that cases take time. If your case is supposed to be pretty so easy then do the divorce yourself and stop complaining if it takes time. If you can't reach Linda, (she's definitely in court) but I recommend getting onto the county records site (whichever is handling your case) and checking for any status' there. I do everyday to see if opposing counsel has filed anything new and to check on my husbands criminal matter. Linda knows what she's doing and works hard. Like any attorney she loves to win and will go to battle with confidence. I highly disagree with the negative comments on here because it's definitely not the Linda I've come to know. She's fairly priced. Is very helpful and super patient- especially with my divorce proceedings. She is pretty good at responding to emails and calls/texts. Her assistant Vanessa is wonderful too and does a great job in giving case updates.

Fearful to go court

She will churn your case and it will never go to court. She is the most useless person I have dealt with and my divorce was straightforward. 18 months of pain that was not required.

more of a meddler....

My spouse and I were trying couples counseling, so here we were trying to work on things and she was continually adding fuel to the fire with her comments and suggestions. She is terrible at returning phone calls and keeping you informed, but it was like once she thought we might not need her servic...es, she then instigated issues. Just terrible!! This was not just our life she was adding fuel to, this was our children's as well!! Very unprofessional in my opinion. My spouses attorney was all for us working things out and rather encouraging for the benefit of our children.
