GoransonBain/Curtis Harrison

Curtis Harrison and his team helped me untie the knot in a very short time period. Excellent advise and easy to work with. Great communication throughout the entire ordeal. I highly recommend Curtis and GoransonBain.

Sharing my thoughts on Curtis Harrison and his staff is easy

The most humiliating and terrifying experience of a lifetime is sitting in a courtroom for a third party to determine the fate of your children. And yet, sitting beside Curtis, I felt a confidence and comfort that belied my anxious heart. Curtis is honest and fair-minded, he will advise you clearly..., and will not mislead. Curtis was well prepared for my trial, he knew my life, he sifted through all the uncomfortable details, and guided me along the way with dignity and respect There were no courtroom antics, only a solid foundation in the law. Curtis is a great and patient listener, but when it counts in the courtroom, he doesn’t waste time or words, he articulates confidently and authoritatively; and his ego never takes center stage to your plea. His demeanor and presentation is plainly respected in the courtroom. I can honestly say that I don’t recommend Curtis because of my outcome, although it was grand, but for the process. You can trust his ethics, his judgment and his ability to utilize his firm, including the wonderful Carolyn, to put your best case forward.

In the most difficult situations, you need the best.

No one likes divorce and frankly no one likes paying a divorce attorney! However, when I needed help through this difficult process, I could not have asked for a better advisor than Curtis. He was professional, exceptionally knowledgeable, and clearly concerned for the personal well-being of both mys...elf and my family. He worked as my professional advocate, personal counselor, and at times the needed voice of hard truth and reason. He did such an effective job that my ex-spouse actually stopped using her own attorney! Ironically, taking Curtis's recommendations were one of the few things we both agreed to through the process. His service is worth so much more than the cost. I trusted his advice and use of billable time completely. Divorce is a series overwhelming emotion and difficult decisions. Fortunately this one is easy; hire him. If you are reviewing in consideration of divorce, I truly hope you can find reconciliation, however, if you do need to hire an attorney, I cannot recommend Curtis (and Carolyn) enough.

Outstanding attorney the whole time

Curtis surprises me that he is not only an outstanding attorney. I was very lucky to have Curtis as my lawyer who helped me go through the depressing time of my life. More than an attorney, he was like a friend, a coach who supported, educated and guided me to make right decisions and to do the right... things. Curtis dedicated to protect my best interests, at the same time, he was honest to me for what to expect. Curtis’ ethic and value truly earn my trust. I realize my marriage was miserable, however, I definitely appreciate people who support me, and Curtis is a big part of it. I am blessed to find smiles back to my face. Thank you Curtis for helping me find myself and confidence back.

Not a good experience.

I hired Curtis Harrison in 2006 when he was with Albin, Harrison and Roach. My experience was not good. In fact, I ended up firing him as my divorce attorney. His office (specifically his paralegal) dragged things out unnecessarily, made multiple mistakes in the drafting of the decree and would th...en charge for the phone call when I notified them of the mistakes. I was told at least three times that my case was not the only one being worked as if to offer a justification for the sloppiness. I was paying $225 per hour and you would have thought they were part of a government agency. I am baffled by the 5 star rating he is receiving. Harrison was definitely no help to me at a time when I was at an all time low. To add insult to injury, I was charged for the phone call when I made notification that I was terminating his services. I am sure Curtis is probably a decent person, I really don't know. I felt compelled to write the review due to the totally shoddy service I received at a low time in my life. A review was also submitted to Albin, Harrison and Roach following his services being terminated. That review will reflect details of my dissatisfaction with his services. This is not personal against Curtis. We were involved in a business relationship, and he fell way short of providing acceptable services. The review is to provide information that, based at least on my experience with Curtis, he is not a five star lawyer.

William, I was surprised and disappointed to learn that you did not have a good experience in 2006. As you have noted from the other posts, your review is out of the ordinary. For over 20 years my professional goal has been to help individuals facing daunting issues during one of the most stressful times in their adult lives. -- Curtis Harrison
