Great lawyer

Fantastic Lawyer

I hired David Hughey to represent me during my divorce in 2018, and was very happy with the work he, and his office performed. From the very beginning I was impressed by the friendliness of him and his staff, their professionalism, and the attention he paid to my case. He made a difficult situation as easy as you could hope for, was prompt in his responses to my questions and situations that arose, and provided advise that was always in my best interest in the long run. I wouldn't hesitate to hire David in the future for any legal needs I may have.

David S. Hughey attended college in Illinois at Wheaton University and earned his J.D. Degree from in 1987 from The University of Houston. . Mr. Hughey believed that in starting his own practice, he could fully realize his passion for helping people. In 1993, along with his wife, Robin Hughey, they founded Hughey and Hughey. The primary focus of Mr. Hughey's practice has been family law and personal injury.

Mr. Hughey is active in the the Dallas Bar Association, the North Dallas Bar Association, and the Collin County Bar Association. He is a dedicated volunteer in various organizations benefiting youth, including the Richardson YMCA, Richardson Neighborhood and youth services, and the Allen Sports Association and in school district booster clubs for the Allen and Lovejoy ISD's.

Mr. Hughey and his wife have five children. Their oldest is now an attorney and a member of the firm.

Divorce Advice

Mr. Hughey took his valuable time, on a Monday, to speak with me about possible solutions for my very contentious and ongoing divorce. He did not charge me for his time, but offered his very pertinent advice freely. It is the first time I have seen an attorney offer anything without expecting payment. He just decided to offer a bit of legal counsel because he could see I was in need. I think this speaks to his character.

Capable, Persistent, Honest

My ex left the country without dividing court-ordered assets. Dave worked persistently to help me find my overseas ex, and negotiate a settlement. Dave's fees were always fair, and he was generous with his time. I recommend him highly.

Satisfied Client

I met David Hughey when I hired his wife to draw up wills for my husband and me. I was impressed by the friendliness of his office and his wife's knowledge. I recommended him to a close relative of mine getting a divorce. Mr. Hughey did a great job representing her, and my relative was very pleased.

Best Attorney

David makes you feel comfortable the second you walk into his office. He seems genuinely concerned about his clients. He made the entire process much easier than I expected.

Amazing attorney

Dave goes above and beyond. He is very compassionate and dedicated to his clients. He always takes that extra step to help his clients get what they deserve. I was very happy with the outcome of my case. It was far better than I expected and he made a very difficult time in my life much easier than it could have been. Thank you.

Excellence!

While handling my divorce, Dave was extremely effective, fair and communicative. Dave's incredible negotiating skills got me better than expected results. He knows his stuff and doesn't back down or tolerate bogus actions from opposing attorneys. He really takes his cases personally and is not just looking to get through the legal process and collect a fee like many attorneys out there. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a family attorney.
