Biography
Kyle was born in Houston in 1964. He was raised in Longview, Texas and graduated from Pine Tree High School in 1983. Mr. Shaw attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor of business administration degree with a major in marketing.
Kyle graduated from the Texas Wesleyan School of Law in 1997, passed the Texas Bar Examination and was admitted into the Texas Bar in 1998. Since then, he has been in private practice.
Kyle's law firm Kyle K. Shaw, PLLC, focuses on defending persons accused of crimes including: Administrative License Revocation hearings (ALR), Assault, Bond Reductions, Burglary, Capital Offenses, Cocaine, Criminal Appeals, Conspiracy, Drivers License Suspensions, Driving Under the influence (DUI), Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), Forgery, Fraud, Habeas Corpus Writs, Manslaughter, Marijuana Possession, Methamphetamine, Murder, Parole and Probation violations and revocation hearings, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Post-Conviction Remedies, Robbery, Search and Seizure, Sex Crimes, Sexual Assault, Theft, Writs and white collar crimes. During his practice, Mr. Shaw has represented several high profile clients in the metroplex area.
Kyle was admitted into the U.S. District Court Northern District of Texas in 2003 and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in 2007. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Collin County Bar Association, the Dallas County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and is a past and present board member for the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Kyle is the former vice-president and the current president-elect of the Collin County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
