Ended up getting scr*wed in my divorce, with Carie as my attorney. RIght off the bat, she was slow to respond to my emails, and always left me feeling like a jerk for asking questions, or following up on the status of the case, as my ex was harassing me badly through out the process. She did not st...and up for me at all during mediation when the mediator started talking down to me and explaining things to me that she should have been explaining. He literally called me "little lady" at one point. Both of them made me feel extremely pressured into settling, and for that reason ended up with a pitiful amount of support (less than 10% of ex's income monthly). All around it was just a sh*t show. It took about 8 months from the time I filed until the divorce became finalized (two of those months she submitted vacation requests/notices to the judge delaying my case). It was until 7 weeks AFTER we had settled in mediation before it was actually filed into record. Long story short I ended up having to go back to modify the custody and child support. I did it pro se through efile texas. It took me $15 and 11 days from beginning to end. Go elsewhere.

Carie assisted me for several years and is possibly one of the most knowledgeable family lawyers I met. She also couples this skills with a very sensible approach and personable relationship which in difficult moments can make a huge difference in the best decision making. Last but not least, differ...ent from other lawyers I met she is very conscientious and NOT greedy.

Carrie scheduled a consultation with me, charged me about $250, then never reached back out. I had a hearing scheduled and needed her assistance and she literally forgot about me. I emailed her a week before my date asking what I needed to be doing to prepare and she had no clue who I was or why I ...was contacting her. I told her we had a consultation and she said I never officially "hired" her, therefore she could not help nor was she responsible for reaching back out to me. She had originally told me not to worry and she would be getting in contact with me. She clearly has too much going on and forgot. She never mentioned giving me my money back either. She literally made me pay $250 for her to talk to me for 10 minutes, tell me she will be in contact with me after she reviewed my case, then forgot to do so. Do not waste your time with this wench. She is absolutely horrible and will not look out in the best interest of you.

Divorce is never an easy thing, but Carie really helped me through the process. She made me feel comfortable and represented my interests with competence and care. You have to be able to trust your lawyer, and I trust Carie Mack. First and foremost, Carie is professional. She is honest and straig...ht forward. I've never doubted her. She worked incredibly hard for my best interest and welfare. She was aggressive with opposing counsel, yet caring towards me as a client. I was absolutely amazed by the tenacity and perseverance with which she handled my case. I would HIGHLY recommend Carie Mack for any family law issues.
