Family Law is about much more than law and procedure.  David is very knowledgable about mental health conditions (ie personality disorders, Narcissism, addictions) as well as special needs of children (e.g. autism spectrum disorders) that often lead to or "complicate" marriages. Not only have we seen most situations, we have dug deeper to develop a solid foudation to speak with you from a point of knowledge about these issues too many lawyers see as far outside their expertise.  We also know when to seek assistance of specialist and work well to intergrate them into our work when needed to serve our clients.

David frequently serves as a mediator for Family Law and CPS matters and do Family Law Appeals.  These experiences add an additional depth to my knowledge and abilty to serve my clients.

My Best Decision - Calling David
If you are facing a divorce and in despair or terrified, I recommend you call David immediately. I was a basket case when we met and yet he was able to analyze the situation with compassion and keep me grounded in reality. My best advice is to TRUST HIM. You will have endless worst-case scenarios consuming your thoughts that are a complete waste of your energy. Listen to David! He kept my head in the game and set forth a successful strategy in a time when I was too emotionally broken to make decisions. He is also experienced in dealing with narcissism which falls on deaf ears with most divorce lawyers. Please give him a call and take your next steps towards peace.

Original & Real!!!
In May 2022, I was surprisingly being sued for a man who claimed a 20 yr common law marriage with me. My search for an attorney was even more difficult trying to find someone experienced in proving Non common law marriages. I spoke to a dozen attorneys. Mr. Ecker was far most the most pleasant, real, detailed and spent an hour on the phone with me making me laugh and feel that he and joyed the challenge of these difficult cases, free!!! I sincerely felt Mr. Eaker loves his career unlike other Scam, lying Attorney’s that condescendingly give you the time of day after $500 deposit. Disclosure: Mr. Eaker Commonly may charge for consultations however it was a blessing just to get him at a perfect time and very well well worth the conversation. Highly Recommend Mr. Eaker

Highly Recommend
David was recommended to me before I even needed him so I knew I would be using David if/when I ever needed an attorney. Great choice
Though I only worked on my case with Mr. Eaker for a short while, I always found him to be very responsive, professional, courteous, and reasonable. There were more than several instances when I didn't understand what was happening with my case, the legal language, or the next steps, and David was always patient and explained everything to me. He was also very relatable and easy to talk to. I did not have a positive experience with my last attorney during my divorce and was both hesitant and skittish when it came time to find a new one. Thankfully I read many reviews this time around and talked to several different attorneys before settling on David, and I am glad I did!

That's the man that you need !!

My Divorce Experience
Divorce is an emotional and draining process that nobody wins. My experience was made much easier by David Eaker’s skill, demeanor, and personality. In the beginning he took extended periods of time to explain the process, the laws, and the options that I had. At the same time, David made an exceptional effort to understand the way I thought and felt about what was happening so he could tailor his thinking to mine. In doing so, he balanced my black and white logic with thoughtful insight and a councilor-type role. As we moved through the process, we met to discuss upcoming events or next steps, and again David thoroughly explained everything and answered more than my fair share of questions. As is the case in stressful situations, we didn’t always agree at the start of discussions but we talked and debated until we reached a consensus. If you are reading these reviews, I can only assume that you are early in the divorce process. I highly recommend David Eaker to get you through it in the best possible way. Additional kudos go out to his paralegal, Megan Ray, who worked diligently to keep both David and I on-track.

Straightforward without drama
David is excellent with regard to keeping you, as the client, focused on the goals and not getting drawn into drama. He's been down the road enough times to understand what requires attention versus issues that are peripheral. When I first went to him for assistance, I was unsure whether I even wanted to file for divorce. His advice: when you aren't sure, speak with someone. And he referred me to a great counselor. Getting my business was not David's priority; I, the person, was David's priority because he knew that a hesitant client wasn't going to work for anyone. THAT is the level of experience for which you hire him.

Honest, superior professionalism, Caring
I have known Mr, David Eaker for several years now as well as several other Attorneys and found that of all the attorneys I've hired, Mr Eakers takes every case more seriously than any I've used as if it's his case. I've used him to correct a case that was mishandled by other Christian attorneys and he was not only able to correct them swiftly, he even reversed a losing case in my favor with family that are now able heal from a stressful and hostile environment. My Grandchildren I love very dearly, He helped bring closure to a case where the system itself almost failed and two children that were almost lost! The courts failed us, the other Attorneys Failed us, Mr Eaker upon reviewing the case corrected every error in 48 hours! There are no words to described what he means to our family! He is a very gifted attorney that would go so far as to say he a prodigy, The Mozart of Law!

One of the best Rockwall family law attorney's
I am very impressed and happy with the way David handled my post divorce situation. Having had well known attorney's on both sides of the divorce only to find out that their work was shady at best and unenforceable in the court. I had to hire another attorney. I found and chose David Eaker. He not only knows all of the legalities of family law but he also has a knack for negotiating all of the intricate details of a divorce. David's presentation of my case in front of the court was skillfully done. He followed up by competently completing all documents necessary for a fully enforceable decree. David also has a flat fee for his services, which in my opinion is the way to go.

I recommend David Eaker
David did a very nice job of handling my divorce. He quickly got up to speed and guided me through the process very well. I felt he was especially effective during mediation, where he comfortably came to an agreement with the other attorneys. A appeals attorney that goes the extra mile for his clients!!!!!
Mr Eaker was an excellent appeals attorney. He went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied and completely informed of everything going on. He helped me to better understand the processes and laws as they pertained to my particular case. He kept me well informed of situations before and as they arose, while providing outstanding representation. Mr Eaker's extensive knowledge of the law and willingness to go out of his way for his clients is a characteristic I personally found hard to find in attorneys. I would definitely recommend David as your appeals attorney. In fact, the only issue I have is that I cant retain him for my return to trial.

Highly Satisfied!
I wanted a fair and quick divorce, for the sake of my children, and that is exactly what happened. David and Megan always responded to my correspondence in a fast and effective manner. Forever Thankful
Having come highly recommended, my husband and I hired David Eaker to represent us in a child custody case. We knew we were in for a battle. Words cannot covey what an incredible job David did. He was not only our Attorney, but our "Counselor" as well. David was very responsive to all calls, emails and any request for a face to face meeting regarding all of the emotional turmoil that went along with the custody battle. David walked us through every step of the case and never left us in the dark as to where we stood. When we went to court David represented us with the same passion that we ourselves would have had.
