Tracy Hightower-Henne received her J.D. and LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Taxation from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan in 2007. During law school, she was an associate member of the Journal of Practical and Clinical Law and served as Business Editor for two years. After passing the bar, she took a position at a local Fortune 500 company doing tax work in their Exams and Appeals group. She protested the IRS’s positions on complex tax matters.

Tracy voluntarily left the corporate world to pursue her passion of helping people and their specific individual needs. Tracy focuses on honesty and professionalism in every case and believes everyone deserves a good defense.

AMAZINGLY TOP NOTCH
Tracy takes the time to explain the divorce process in great detail and is willing to take the time to listen and answer any questions you have. She and the firm are quick to respond to emails and phone calls , unlike most other attorneys and law firms. She makes the very difficult divorce process much less painful and always has your best interest in mind. I would highly recommend Tracy and Hightower Reff Law to everyone seeking counsel. If Tracy isn't available for some reason, which is very rare, her paralegal is very helpful and if she can't answer your question she will get in touch with Tracy any way necessary to get you the answers that you need as quickly as possible.

Highly Recommend
I came to Tracy seeking advice in the summer of 2017, and was just a 17 year old who was going through a very troubling time in my life. She took me in, helped me through the situation I was put in, and ultimately saved me from having to go through with something I definitely was not prepared for.

Would Highly Recommend
Going through a divorce is a painful process that I would not wish upon anyone, but having Tracy on my side made the process much easier. I cannot say enough about her professionalism, knowledge, preparation, attention to detail and customer service. Her level of customer service is second to none, if I had a question she would always follow up in a prompt manner. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated this as the process can be tedious. She always explained everything to me in a detailed manner and kept me "in the loop". I would highly recommend Tracy if you or someone you know needs a lawyer.

Excellent Care and Service
Tracy has done such an amazing job as my attorney. At our first meeting she made both myself and my ex husband feel welcomed and answered all of our questions. Divorce is never easy and Tracy made it go such better smoother than either of us had hoped. She has always been professional, empathetic, and quick to respond to any of our questions or concerns. She follows up with you to make sure everything is taken care of and always asks if there is anything else she can do. I have recommended Tracy to several family members and friends and will continue to do so.

Highly Recommend - Highly Ethical
I hired Tracy as my fourth attorney in a divorce action that had been going on for 3.5 years. I represented myself for a short time and quickly found that the legal system will not give you a fair chance so I sought out legal representation. It is well known that many attorneys will not be the third on the case let alone the fourth. Tracy agreed to take my case over the phone from another attorney (Desirae Solomon - top notch and highly ethical as well) and I had a meeting within day. WOW! Not only did Tracy and her firm take my case as the fourth counsel, she did with a limited scope agreement. HOW WONDERFUL. She and I had a very precise and clear understanding of what my goals were and Tracy helped facilitate a swift settlement to a case that was riddled with inertia due to the progression of a kangaroo court system. As my fourth counsel, I fully intended to be hit with an enormous retainer. Her retainer was half of what I expected and her hourly rate was, in my opinion, extremely fair. Additionally, because of the limited scope agreement we had a clear break of service and Tracy promptly returned the unused portion of my retainer, which was significantly more that I expected as a refund. If you have any interest in self preservation, financial protection or well being of your family in a divorce action, hire Tracy Hightower-Henne and her firm of Hightower - Reff.

Great Lawyer!
I used Tracy to handle my divorce. She was easy to work with and really listened to everything I wanted. The process was so stressful but Tracy helped me to understand each step.

Highly Recommended for family law and divorce matters
I would highly recommend Tracy. She represented me in my divorce which included child custody and child support issues. I was extremely impressed with her knowledge and professional skills. Tracy was always responsive and was aggressive as needed. I would use Tracy again in any legal matter that may come up in the future.

Conscientious and helpful
We used Tracy to help us revise our will. She spent a great deal of time educating us on the options for us to consider. Her experience and knowledge with estate planning and wills was invaluable. She was professional, personable and patient. We are very glad we found her.

If i could give her no stars I would
I hired Tracy because I had heard great things about her for my 2 oldest children. I was served for a modification of my current custody. She added stress to my plate on top of what i was going through, she dragged out the order to trial. She charges high prices and recommended therapy and all. Also requested additional money for a deposit for trial. I finally had enough and switched attorneys. My new attorney was quick and easy! Understanding and did everything I asked, did not add extra and came to find out that my ex’s attorney was about to withdrawal due to failure in payment. I am extremely disappointed as I work har dato provide for my kids with an absent parent who added more and felt that Tracy did not listen and was only interested in the money. I would not recommend her especially after my second attorney did not even charge me what she was asking for retainer needed for trial.
