Replied last June 14, 2016We care deeply about our clients' issues and always try to provide flexibility in our representation. That being said, what you have posted is not true. As you will find with most attorneys, taking an upfront fee is common practice. Especially in situations such as your own, where immediate attention is required. After rearranging our schedule to meet with you on an hour's notice, we agreed in an exchange of $500 for our services. Although you did not go through with the purchase of the home, our services were performed prior to and regardless of any finalized purchase. Our services included our initial meeting, review of your purchase agreement, counsel for strategy with regard to negotiating any counter-offers, and remaining available to you throughout the weekend. Despite completing all of the services that were agreed upon, we did not refuse to issue a partial refund. After your request, we responded that we were willing to refund to you the equivalent of one hour's billable time. Following our message to you, we never heard from you again (aside from this negative and untruthful review). Again, we care deeply about our clients and work diligently to solve their legal needs.
