This guy is a complete scammer and a liar do not give him any money I hired him for a simple custody case that he took 4 grand of my money and never finished the case he is the biggest con artist of all time and he needs to lose his license asap he’s ruining peoples lives he’s doing it to everyone re...port him to the bar

I would give a 0 if I could. This person was paid in full up front from the start, and I got No not even any lawyer client I services. There was always an excuse, whenever I finally heard from him days maybe week later after calling him continuously about my case with trying to get legal half custody... of my daughter. I never received any paperwork or verification about my case,and he completely wrote all the wrong information in logs for my case. I have been drugged through this, his, garbage for over a year into 2. I can't get a call back, I can't get any info on my case, I can't get any paperwork, just Nothing. Because he's done Nothing, horrible in any type of communication skills, while taking your hard earned money only to do nothing but cause grief and turmoil. He's an horrible person and horrible lawyer at any given time and should be disbarred at all cost. I now am and got to seek other consultation because of his incompetence and negligence. Im still fighting for custody of my daughter now over a year later because of him, he got my money and then Nothing. Do not mess with this man at all He's not a lawyer, but a scammer and user to his own advantage. I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy.

Lied about filing paperwork then filed wrong paperwork.changed offices several times!!! Would not return phone calls. Screwed up my settlement which I have the opposing attorneys email! Which also has attorney client privilege info in it... Meaning my settlement was so messed up Jeff said the other a...ttorney messed it up and when I threatened mis conduct... The other attorney was told by Jeff when in fact he was the one who screwed it all up! And Jeff wants the remainder of his fees from me!! Well in fact my stuff was so messed up he should be giving me my money back!!! As a moral issue since he had my stuff so messed up from the beginning! Not only that but I told him I was dealing with an attorney now judge in the court system who is my child's grandmother and I need someone to play the game with them not me!!! He couldn't play!!!

I hired this man for several months over which time he did almost nothing and became exceedingly difficult to contact. Eventually, he left me a voicemail saying he couldn't represent me anymore as he had 'worked with'the lawyer representing my child's other parent. This was a clear and blatant lie as... I found out later he had simply changed firms and dropped a number of his clients. Only hire this man if u want to pay the maximum amount for a bare minimum of representation!!!

Jeff is an exceptional family law attorney. He handled my divorce in St. Louis County with compassion and ease. The whole process went very smoothly and I was very happy with the child support, child custody and alimony that I received. He also was very flexible on payment with me and didn't bill me ...for a lot of the work he did. He was also generous enough to take care of a traffic ticket for me for FREE because he knew I couldn't afford to pay it at the time! I've used other lawyers before and Jeff Heater is by far the best attorney in Clayton or anywhere else in St. Louis!
