Honest, Trustworthy and Excellent
Bob has represented my case twice now over the past 2 years. Unfortunately for me, I continue to be forced into litigated as the defendant; however, I am able to rest assure that my case is in good hands. With my first custody hearing, I was referred to Bob by a former Judge and I have been very satisfied with the way he handled my case. A good percentage of the time, Bob works as a court appointed Guardian Ad Litem, representing minors/ children during litigation pertaining to divorce and child custody. Bob has upheld all of his credentials, and he is very knowledgeable within the circuit. Furthermore, what I find to be most important -- is by the fact that he looks out for the best interest of my child, while still assuring me of my rights as a co-parent ,and how to protect myself from the other side. During my first trial I was terrified by the threats that I was receiving from the other side, but Bob and his staff gave me plenty of advice and reassurance, so that I could still keep my focus on my family and the things in my life that mattered most. When preparing me for trial, Bob walked me through the court process and I learned a lot about the formalities and procedures. This has been a world of help to me, as I am now fully aware of my rights as a co-parent and I am able to manage the threats and complaints that I (still) constantly receive from the other side. Through this experience with Bob, I feel stronger as an individual and better as a parent. I also am better prepared the second time around, as the other side is trying again to fight for sole custody. From the moment I was served with a summons to appear in court, I knew exactly what I had to do, what evidence to prepare and which documents to work on. This not only helps Bob-- to catch him up to speed with my case and the status of my life; but also, provides me with ways to save money during this process. Bob also understands and is able to predict the tactics from the other side, but most importantly, he has taken the time to understand me well and he believes in me. Hands down, through Bob's council I feel calm and confident, and I know that he will fight for me and my family. I have recommended him to friends, and would be happy to do so again.

Not even worthy of 1 star........
I would give Bob negative stars if I could. I retained Bob’s services and he ended up costing me thousands upon thousands of dollars due to his negligence (this was in addition to paying him hourly for his lackluster services, to put it mildly). He didn’t make just a single “mistake” or provide some questionable service, he made several huge costly errors on my case. Only when I confronted Bob about his series of negligent actions and breach of duties, did he decide that we "weren’t a good fit"? Bob was my lawyer for a few years so I know what he’s truly made of when it comes to his profession. A respectable lawyer would have dealt with problems head-on, but Bob denied, lied, and made excuses for himself. I was told by other lawyers (that I exposed Bob's negligence to and asked for their opinions regarding said negligence) that Bob would "settle" before I sued him for malpractice. That's what they would have done anyway. When I confronted Bob about his errors, he did not do what other attorneys told me he would/should do, but instead, he became defensive (he was caught, multiple times for different reasons). At one point, Bob's firm made a very careless mistake in sending me another client's emails that had the same first name as mine. After that error, I had correspondence between her and my lawyer. That error didn't cost me financially (for once) but that is so embarrassing for Bob's other client. I’m not saying that Bob is a bad guy, but I do feel that Bob is a really, really incompetent attorney. I believe that Bob's peers would defend Bob (should be ask them to post reviews for him, etc) but most people want to keep their skeletons in their closets, so I doubt Bob is going around notifying his peers of his colossal screw ups. There is absolutely no comparison between my current lawyer and Bob Hamilton. Hiring a lawyer is never fun and with so many choices, please take your hard-earned money elsewhere. I could have done a better job representing myself. I feel that Bob is tired of his profession in his latter years and is simply collecting client’s checks but putting in no real effort. He makes things worse. Much, much worse. This, coming from a person that understands humans are not perfect and we all make mistakes. That is not what happened in my dealings with Bob Hamilton. This goes much, much deeper.
