Worth Every Penny!

Prior to filing for divorce, I consulted four to five law firms. All but one, inattentively and carelessly assured me of things that I would get in a future divorce settlement. Thankfully, there was one lawyer who said everything to the contrary of the other firms. I knew then, that I found someone who would be brutally honest and direct. That attorney was Jonathan Marks. Jonathan worked very hard and diligently on my case. We experienced some things that were made for TV, but though it all, Jonathan always looked out for my best interest, protected me from myself at times and he always got back to me in a timely manner. Although it unexpectedly and unnecessarily took over a year to complete (no fault of ours), my divorce is now finalized and I got everything I wanted and some. Jonathan did a masterful job and I am very thankful I retained their firm. Save yourself the time and headache; look no further!

Jonathan Marks is the best custody lawyer in St. Louis, hands down. My husband and I were looking for a lawyer to handle his custody modification case and we spoke with several lawyers. We knew from the beginning that Jonathan would be the best lawyer for the case and he more than came through! Despite months of delays and an unwillingness to compromise on the part of the other party, Jonathan was able to get my husband 50/50 legal and physical custody--everything he wanted! Jonathan was straightforward and honest from the start and was able to manage my husband's expectations and anxiety throughout a very tough time. Jonathan was able to get my husband the time with his children that he wanted and deserved, and we will forever be grateful for that. I recommend Jonathan to others without hesitation

I have hired Jonathan for years, due to ongoing and continuing divorce matters. Other legal matters have come up, outside of my divorce, and Jonathan has been very knowledgeable in dealing with those matters as well. Not one time over the years has Jonathan disappointed me with his legal services. He fights hard for you. I have experience with other lawyers and they don't even come close to Jonathan and his dedication, knowledge, and hard work. I would give his firm 10 stars if I could.

Very responsive

I used Jonathan for a prenup. He did a fine job and was very responsive to my needs and timing, even working weekends and rearranging his schedule when necessary to ensure the prenup was completed on schedule.

Talented Attorney

I have utilized Attorney Jonathan Marks over the last several years for divorce/custody/modification issues. He listens, proposes a plan and discusses it with me in detail. Attorney Marks always makes himself available to discuss and answer my questions or address my concerns, which, I confess, I had many. What can you say about an attorney who always either immediately took or returned my calls and emails, night and weekends. What can you say about someone who never wavered from my cases (divorce, child support modifications, custody). Jonathan helped me make good decisions and made sure I understood the big picture and the small details. I wish I had more space to write because I honestly feel Jonathan is the best there is. In my opinion he is the greatest family law/divorce attorney in MO! Jonathan is an exceptional lawyer whose experience and knowledge consistently brought me favorable results and a calming effect when I felt defenseless. Professional and Effective

A Stellar Performance

This review is 2 months overdue. The staff of the Marks Law Firm are remarkable!!!! Mr. Marks, from the first interaction, displayed professionalism, thorough knowledge of topic, and he answered all of my questions presented. His Associate to the firm, Amy Bender-Levy, is equally impressive. She also continuously progressed our objectives in the right direction. The case was an Interstate Custody Modification which was not easy of nature. There were many obstacles and headaches throughout the proceedings. For instance, written depositions of 74 questions presented by opposing counsel, dispelling child abuse allegations, etc. The other party found numerous methods of adding stress (e.g. fabrications) and strain both financially and to our emotional well-being. The custody process at times seemed to cast a shadow over our children's milestones that should have been relished. Nevertheless, the case never appeared daunting to the "A Team"; they relentlessly pressed forward. The opposing party had "unclean hands"; hence, a contempt of court was filed. This firm had a goal to seek out "the best interests of my children." This desire came to fruition. I am blessed with 2 children awakening me every morning with those all too common words, "What's for breakfast mom?" The end result of the well versed and VERY seasoned Mr. Marks.

An "All-Star" Attorney!

I highly recommend Jonathan Marks as an attorney to represent you if a family law attorney is needed. Jonathan came highly recommended to me and I was not disappointed one bit. Of course all attorney's handle multiple cases at one time, however with Jonathan he always made me feel I was his only - and most important client. This evident in his quick response time to me if needed as well as full knowledge of my particular situation. In my situation my ex-spouse and I appeared to be far apart, and perhaps heading towards a trial - which with a family and children involved was not something I wanted to do. Jonathan was able to use his skills to negotiate what was a fair and acceptable solution to both parties, thus avoiding a trial. Just as Jonathan was recommended to me, I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend him to others.

The attorney you should hire

I hired Jonathan becausey ex-wife was refusing one of my scheduled visitation. At the time I lived in a different state then my child. During my divorce I had hired an attorney that was leaving her firm. I did not know about this at the time. All she wanted to do was get my case over with so she could start her new job. Neadless to say I ended up with a very bad aggrement. I spoke to Jonathan about my current agreement when I was discussing the visitation problem. Jonathan let me know it would be in my best interest to move back to Missouri so he could modify my agreement. Jonathan is a very honest and straight forward attorney. He told me what to expect and that is exactly what I got and more. My previous attorney said I was going to get all this stuff that never happened so I was very relieved with the outcome of my case. I would recommend Jonathan over any other attorney in St. Louis.

Couldn't be happier!

I can't say enough great things about Jonathan. I came into the office scared and unsure about the divorce process. Jonathan made me feel at ease and told me that I needed to worry about being a good mom and he would take care of the divorce. He did just that. He also made me feel like a priority. I highly recommend Jonathan over any attorney in St. Louis. I did my research when finding The Marks Law Firm and Jonathan's reputation has superseded all his reviews. When choosing an attorney, you want someone who cares about what you're going through. Here recently, Jonathan actually called me back on a Sunday afternoon to discuss an alarming situation. The man has a way of seeing right through a case! He has helped me get custody of my daughter, looked over various contracts/wills and recently helped advise against polygraphs that were recommended by St. Louis detectives. Top Notch Divorce Attorney

When searching for a divorce attorney I was referred to Jonathan by a friend. My plan was to interview three attorneys before choosing one, but once I met and talked with him I knew I did not need to look any further. If you have to go to court, this is the man you want at your side. He is brilliant, his preparation is meticulous, and he will aggressively litigate your case to the best possible outcome. Outstanding Results

I have hired Jonathan on more than one occasion. In each instance, he handled my cases skillfully and tactfully. At all times, Jonathan remained sensitive to the needs of my family and never lost sight of the best interests of my children. He was extremely approachable and available, which was of paramount importance to me as a client. My last case involved a temporary restraining order with a subsequent motion to modify child custody. In this particular matter, time was of the essence - and Jonathan was able to expedite the proceedings in such a way that I was able to achieve my goals without delay.
