Charles Louis Barberio IV

I was charged with Robbery and Armed Criminal Action. The police came to my house and wanted to question me but they already had their minds made up and arrested me. I told them I have never even owned a gun but they searched my house anyway and tore it all up and found nothing. I really felt help...less. Luckily when I got locked up another prisoner told me about Mr. Barberio. He came and met me at the jail and even was able to get me out on a bond because he brought some good issues up to the judge and the community where I live was showing their support of me. The prosecutor would not back down and never even offered a deal. I had never been in trouble before and I was scared as hell because I was facing life in prison and there was nothing I could do about it. Mr. Barberio said it was gonna be a tough road but that we were ready to fight it in court if we had to. The months went by and Mr. Barberio examined the evidence and took the depositions of the alleged “witnesses” and before I knew it my trial date had arrived. Mr. Barberio was ready for trial but I was very nervous. On the morning of trial the Prosecuting Attorney told Mr. Barberio that they were not prepared to move forward anymore with the case against me and the whole case was dismissed. I was overcome with joy and even started to cry. I can’t thank him enough!!!

First I must start my review by Thanking Charles by standing by my side from day 1 until the verdict and beyond. Charles performed excellent during my trial. He was very knowledgeable of the law and courtroom politics. I believe he defended me to his best ability and fought for me with all he had. ...Charles always keep my wife informed on every situation and point in the case. He visited me regularly while I was incarcerated. He explained to me every step of the case and always helped me understand what was going on. He also showed compassion, it wasn't about money with him, he loves being a defense lawyer. (With some lawyer it's like a automated relationship, with Charles he makes you feel human like a person not a suspect or inmate). I can't Thank Charles enough he's a great PERSON, a great LAWYER and now what I consider a GREAT FRIEND. Charles is a very good lawyer. He always kept me informed on everything going on in my husband case. On the first day I met him he told me what he was going to do for my husband and he kept his word. My husband was involved in a terrible car accident that he caused while drunk driving. The driver of the other car was thrown from his vehicle and died at the scene. My husband was also severely injured and taken to the hospital. When he woke up he could not remember what happened but the facts of... the case were already very bad for him. He was not charged right away but we knew should get a lawyer. We went to Charles Barberio because he was highly recommended by the attorney we called to ask for advice. He guided us through the entire process. He was compassionate and reassuring. Eventually the day came where my husband and Mr. Barberio surrendered him to the police because there was a warrant. My husband was not doing well in jail but because of the severity of the charge we could not afford the bond. Mr. Barberio eventually got him a lower bond and my husband was able to get out with an alcohol monitor so that he could attend AA. He went to AA for months and Mr. Barberio was able to keep him out long enough to see the birth of our son. We knew it was possible he was going to prison for a long time. At the hearing my husband was allowed to do a treatment program in prison but if he failed would have to go for 25 years. We were so happy and we were finally able to count the days til he could come home but then the Prison said he wasn't eligible for the program eventhough they had already said he was eligilbe. So they told him he had to do the whole 25 years! Mr. Barberio got the judge to give us a new hearing. After being scared for months that my husband would have to serve 25 years he ended up getting released at the new hearing! Mr. Barberio was very supportive the entire time and explained to me what was going on while my husband was in prison so that i wouldn't be scared of what was happening. It is very sad about the victim and we pray for their family and are glad they were able to forgive us and pray for my husband too! I would absolutely recommend Charles Barberio to all who need a great lawyer!!!
