As a first time homeowner, I was really worried about how daunting the entire process could be. Elina, who was referred to me by my broker and friend, helped put ALL those worries to rest. She, along with her team, are very professional, thorough and simply an absolute blast to work with! Even after ...closing she followed up to make sure all was well. My mortgage broker referred me to Elina after having a disheartening experience with my initial attorney. The first time I reached out to Elina's office, she answered the phone herself and verbally walked me through the process of what I could expect from her and what she needed from me to move thing...s forward. Elina continued to make herself available to me for any questions, especially around the contract and inspection, even scheduling calls at night and on the weekends to accommodate both of our schedules. Following the inspection, she worked so hard to protect my interests and to get a timely response from opposing counsel. The day of closing, she really took the lead, walking me through the closing disclosure and loan documents line-by-line taking care that I did not sign any document without understanding it first. Once it was all said and done, she assured me that I could contact her with any questions or concerns. I did, in fact, follow up with her about five months after closing, to get her insight on my property taxes. I received a questionable solicitation from a real estate company indicating that a tax buyer had purchased my property taxes and offering to "help" by purchasing the property "as-is." I did my own research by contacting the Assessor's and Clerk's Offices, and was understood that nothing was outstanding. The company apparently had outdated information but I decided to shoot Elina an email just to be on the safe side. Elina followed up with me the next morning and was kind enough to look again into the history of my property taxes. She assured me that my taxes were all paid current. Knowing that I'm a first time home buyer, she went a step further by giving me a comprehensive refresher on how my upcoming taxes would be paid by the mortgage company, when to check its status and how to appeal my taxes down the road. Elina really held my hand from beginning to end, making me feel comfortable and confident in my decision to buy a home. Not only is she skilled and knowledgeable, but she's also patient and kind -- virtues that I came to value so much throughout the ups and downs of the home buying process. I would not hesitate to use Elina again and would highly recommend her to anyone.
