Brad Kaye was the fourth attorney (second law firm) to handle my divorce. The x had an unresponsive attorney who seemed intent on dragging the case out as long as possible, causing maximum pain, and exorbitant legal bills for over two years. The previous firm was not equal to dealing with my situa...tion. Because my case was so far advanced, (already with the trial judge,) although I knew I needed to change firms, it was difficult. Nobody wanted to take my case. I was about to give up hope I would be able to salvage the mess made of the case by the previous firm. However two of the attorneys who wouldn't take it on recommended Brad, saying he has expertise in situations like mine. The case was settled equitably and as quickly as possible without having to go to trial, saving tens of thousands of dollars. I’ll try to keep this short. I came to Jonathan Merel's firm about a year after my initial divorce. At my initial divorce filing, I did not have an attorney. I trusted my ex-wife in what she was telling me about the filing and didn’t thoroughly read the petition. She took me for a fool, and I agreed ...to things beyond what she was entitled to.
