I’ll try to keep this short. I came to Jonathan Merel's firm about a year after my initial divorce. At my initial divorce filing, I did not have an attorney. I trusted my ex-wife in what she was telling me about the filing and didn’t thoroughly read the petition. She took me for a fool, and I agreed ...to things beyond what she was entitled to. When I came to Jonathan’s firm, I sought help with getting custody of my children, as they were not in the safest conditions with their mother. Brad was assigned to my case and did a phenomenal job. We were in court for nearly three years fighting. Even with loads of evidence to show the unsafe environment my children were in and the misuse of support my ex-wife was receiving, it was still a tough battle. Brad was always professional, kept me well informed about processes, fought for what was in the best interest of my children, and supported me every step of the way. My ex-wife was receiving close to half of my income, and Brad understood that financially things were tight. He was mindful of my circumstances and did his best to keep me well informed at minimal cost to me. When I needed to hire a second attorney in a different state, he provided recommendations and was supportive in that process. I spoke with multiple attorneys before Jonathan Merel's firm, and each basically told me my case would be like fighting a losing battle. At the end of the three years, not only did Brad get me what I was seeking but more! He was able to get the initial divorce decree amended and right the wrong that was done to me. Brad and the team got me my freedom back after a toxic situation, and I will always be grateful for that. I cannot speak enough praises about Brad and the firm of Jonathan Merel. I can not save enough great things about Brad. I originally had an attorney who draggged my child support/visitation case out, dropped the ball so many times, and did nothing for my case, even overcharged me( let's just say his name rhymes with Kark Mezy). After I found Brad and had a consultation, ...I knew he was the best for the job. Since day 1 he was honest and so organized. He always kept me in the loop and kept everything real with me and made sure I knew my options. Since I spent so much on my first attorney dragging my case out, Brad worked with me on payments and his pricing was very reasonable. I also noticed he got my case done as quickly as he could and did not drag it out. I wish I found him first, but I will def always come back to him if I am ever in another family court again.
