Great Attorney and outstanding person
I had the pleasure to use Mr. Dixler for my immigration procedure. I had started on my own but my case was "lost" in some box in an INS warehouse. Mr. Dixler took my case and went through all the necessary steps to bring my case back on the right track. Furthermore, this happened across the 9/11 t...

Ok
I supposed to give him 5 starts as the final result was win in the case ... After about half year of waiting for the decision from the judge after the court. He did good job in translating my words to the paper. He did great job in suggesting Kovler center - free resource for supporting people with a...
I recall this client. This person seems thankful, yet upset two years after the fact. This disappoints me. This asylum case in immigration court took a lot of time and effort, but was well organized. My efforts seem minimized, so we cleaned up the office this evening and I now explain. I am proud of this work and the fee was reasonable, perhaps too low, based on effort. I regret that my client had to flee his country. However, I believe that some of the above is incorrect, inappropriate or out of context. I likely expressed concern about my unpaid bills and an unpaid scheduled payment on our written agreement. Perhaps, I feared that he spent what he could have paid me on that vacation. Suddenly finding out about the vacation was not a good excuse for ignoring a payment plan. It can be difficult for a client to recall the actual amount of time waiting for their attorney when under stress. However, I don't recall ever being fifteen minutes late for an actual court hearing, but this was two years ago. I regret any delay, where I offered to meet sooner, but attorneys usually call to warn clients and make arrangements. Apparently, everything worked out. It was not the Kovlar Center, but a physician who also volunteers for the Center. This member of Physicians for Human Rights helped us verify forensic facts for the claim in a well documented, organized, written report. I had this client meet with the physician at the Kovlar Center. This, because it was convenient for that professional to do so. He was extremely fortunate to receive the physician's assistance due to my personal intervention made about a month before the hearing due to unpaid attorneys fees. I considered withdrawing from the case. A significant amount of translation was done. There was also the organization of numerous exhibits with explanations. I think it best that the exhibits and filings were well organized. Some people question fees, because they don't always see all an attorney at work on their case. My office can be a "paper chase" with drafts on the floor, because of last minute efforts, too often due to client, not attorney delay. Some attorneys focus more upon their work rather than making the office look too pretty. As to payment, I have practiced too long to know that some plan to pay, but may fail to pay after their case. This can result in working late and perhaps an attorney eventually having to pay a divorce attorney after neglecting family. Well, law is a jealous mistress. It is challenging to work with clients who are unable or unwilling to honor written agreements, but we do our best. This can place stress upon an attorney client relationship. Yet, it is best to hire someone, who you can trust. Thanks. I hope that one day you will better appreciate our sacrifices.
