  • Outstanding Attorney! !!

Mr. Ehrlich has gone above and beyond to help me. He has deferred many of my legal fees making them more manageable. He has out shined the defense attorney and encouraged and calmed me down when I was on the ledge concerning my case. He has always had my back and always very responsive to my questions and concerns

Mr Ehrlich is well versed in all avenues of employment law, wrongful termination, retaliation, disability discrimination, and i'm quite pleased.
Mr Ehrlich places clients issues in foreground. He doesn't stop when it comes to your rights. If an issue arises Mr Ehrlich is punctual in all responses requested by myself, attorneys, agencies. He didn't and doesn't miss any deadlines in regards to legal and my personal needs.
He wants facts and not "color" when it comes to the facts. His candor is truthful and to the point. He is thorough when it comes to his writing legal briefs, responses, filings. He is extremely good at keeping one focused on the current issue, question and you can appreciate his lifelong legal experience versus those with lots of attorneys who have cumulative experience. He is fair in all regards to agreements.
He was recommended to me by one of my attorneys (WC Law) former clients.
I feel extremely fortunate to have Mr Ehrlich as my counsel. I would challenge one to find an attorney who fights for what is right when it came to my needs.

The detail and suggestions offered in response to a somewhat benign question leaves the impression that should I retain Mr Ehrlich, I will be well represented.
I am grateful for your advice, more so since there was no fee involved.

  • Taking on the Army

Mr. Ehrlich took on the Depatment of the Army concerning a discrimination and a harassment complainant by me.
I was hoping for a better outcome but I thought my lawyer did everything in his power and represented me well.

    1. 1/2 hour wait time even though appt. time was set.
    2. Mr. Ehrlich was in a hurry constantly trying to speed up the process of short (17min) consultation.
    3. Very impatient even answering my questions. Even though I was prepared for this consultation he would still appear very fidget and unpleasant.
    4. Constant "sigh" on his part caused anxiety and I was unable to proceed with important questions I still wanted to ask. I left his office very disgusted and upset.
I used to work in the court house and I was exposed to or met lot of lawyers but experience I had today was anything but pleasant. I left his office feeling as an offender not the one who will need to be defended.
My advice to you: FOUND A BETTER MORE PATIENT AND PROFESIONAL LAWER. Chicago has plenty great Lawyers serving citizens despite their language accent, current condition or state of mind.

Arthur Ross Ehrlich’s response: “A client should feel 100% comfortable with the attorney she is going to retain. So if a prospective client believes or feels that I was not patient or thinks I "sighed" too much, then she should most definitely find someone with whom she is more comfortable. While I fully respect and support this client's decision to hire another attorney, I do not agree with her description of what she claims occurred and must respectfully disagree with this review. There are times that I cannot see a client at the appointed time because a prior client arrived late, I required additional time to review a prior client’s case, or I was on the phone handling an important and pressing matter with another client. 30 Minutes late is not common but it has happened on occasion due to circumstances beyond my control. I also respectfully disagree with the other complaints that were raised. I typically allow for a 30 minute appointment, and within that time frame, I fully and carefully answer questions any client asks that are related to her case. If there is no one waiting for me, I will go a little beyond that 30 minute time frame if necessary. I reviewed my detailed notes of my meeting with this client which lasted more than the 17 minutes she believes I gave her. My notes contain all the relevant details from that meeting and list 3 potential legal claims that I noted and discussed with the client. I also took notes about the reasons the employer (falsely) claimed were the reason for terminating this client. I do recall that this client wanted to go through each of those issues as alleged by the employer in more detail, but I had more than enough information from the client at the time to understand how and why she felt these performance complaints were unjustified and false. I am sorry for whatever I did that gave this perception to this client but I would not have these details in my notes if I had acted the way this person claims.”

When professionals agree to volunteer for a free service to help the average individual understand the law, their service is really appreciated when they actually answer the questions posed. We understand that this is not always possible because the legal advice can differ based on details that cannot be provided over a free service. I felt Mr. Ehrlich read my concerns and answered to the best of his ability, clearly addressing the questions posed. Him taking the time proved that he would take even more time if he were my lawyer. Based on his response, I will certainly use his legal services should I need them.

Called him about my case. He seemed a bit stand off ish. Short, and not very empathetic.

Arthur Ross Ehrlich’s response: “My normal practice during an initial phone call is to get a few legally relevant facts from the caller to see if there might be a legal violation. Only a few facts are relevant to make this preliminary determination. The main one, in a termination case, is if the employee feels they may have been terminated due to illegal discrimination (race, age, etc,) or unlawful retaliation. I only need a few facts to see if there may be a violation. Many terminations are unfair, but not illegal. If the termination was simply unfair and not illegal, I do my best to explain this and save the potential client a trip downtown. If there may be some violation, I set a time to discuss the matter in more detail. I apologize if this process may be seen by some as not empathetic. But as you can see from the more recent review, many callers are appreciative of my answers in the brief phone calls.”

Mr. Ehrlich is very quick in absorbing the facts of a case. He has a brilliant legal mind, and presents you with the options available. He focuses on the critical parts of the case and let you know when some information that you may think are valid, are legally irrelevant. You have to follow up with him if you expect updates on the case.
