Eric passed the Certified Public Accountant exam on his first attempt, achieved by only twenty-eight percent of those who took the exam.
Mr. Zelazny attended Washington University School of Law, St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned his Juris Doctorate. Washington University School of Law is nationally recognized as a "Top Twenty Law School" due to its academic excellence.
Mr. Zelazny has been admitted to practice within the jurisdiction of Illinois since 1995 and in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Mr. Zelazny's focused areas of practice include business bankruptcy, business IRS negotiations and litigation, and personal bankruptcy and IRS negotiations and litigation.
Mr. Zelazny has represented doctors, lawyers, CPA's, major real estate developers, and even the owner of a professional Major League baseball team. He has also been an Illinois Bar Association CLE Accredited lecturer over the years and an expert witness in litigation matters pertaining to bankruptcy dischargeability issues.
He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Will County Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Illinois CPA Society.
Mr. Zelazny recently was nominated by his bankruptcy attorney peers and was awarded admittance to Lawyers of Distinction, a national organization that recognizes excellence in the field of law.
In his free time, Eric loves playing tennis, drinking good bourbon, donating to animal causes, and traveling.
