Robert's expertise with personal attention took the stress out of my shoulder!

I heard about Robert from a good friend of mine when I was looking for the best attorney that I could afford to take good care of my case. Robert'd been so great for the whole entire process and we really appreciate his effort and knowledge. He made everything stress-free. I have already absolute...ly recommending Robert to my friends and any future client who might need his representation in fixing their legal status. Once again, I really appreciated his legal assistance in getting my permanent residency status.

Great lawyer!! Very patient with his clients!

Hi everyone! I had appointment with Mr. Milla recently. I needed a legal opinion on filing for my naturalization. I was quite worried and had a lot of questions on my mind regarding the process and my case was not a normal one. I called in for a free consultation and I got a quick reply from them. Af...ter my consultation with Mr. Milla, I felt he was professional and had good immigration knowledge. I took a lot of his time with my questions, but he was very patient with me and was a very good listener. He heard my story and answered all my questions. He was friendly and I felt like he gave me a very honest legal opinion on my case. Walking out, I was glad I had this consultation with him! Thank you Mr. Milla!

Great attorney and a great human being!

Robert is one of the best and most trustworthy attorneys I have ever met or worked with. Before contracting him to work on our successful H1-B petition, our firm researched 17 different attorneys in Chicago and in Wisconsin, and we interviewed 4. What separates Robert from others is his commitmen...t to winning and his willingness to fight for you, regardless of how hard it might get or how long it takes. He does not use his law degree or the severity of a case to intimidate you or, unlike some, he does not use fear as a way of getting you to hire him. Instead, you can sense from the get-go that he does this as a matter of calling: he wants to help people win their immigration battles because it is the right thing to do. He is down to earth, relatable, yet very effective. His ability to use language seamlessly to drive a point home was quite remarkable and refreshing to see. He is tactful, but does not shy away from stating the facts aggressively and in a manner that makes the arguments stick. This is not something many attorneys know how to do. He was also very responsive and very sensitive to avoid misunderstandings in any regard. He asked and listened to the feedback and was not focused on anything else but to get the job done--which is both rare and extraordinary. He was also very flexible with payments and the entire process. Robert is a down to earth, caring guy and a very, very competent attorney who will take care of you. We hope to work with him again in the future and would strongly recommend him to you, as well.

Knowledgable ,Capable and Experienced Attorney

I had been to Mr Milla,s office in 2009 when was located at S Michigan ave for consultation regarding a denial appeal in my case which had been since 2006 without any action from USCIS .Mr Milla told me what steps I should take and if USCIS keeps ignoring ,then I could file another petition ,I was no...t convinced at that time and hired other Attorneys, but waisted too much money without a result , then I came back to Mr Milla and filed a petition in 2013 and was approved two months ago.I,m so happy and proud that I was represented by Mr Milla. Thanks very much to him

Knowledgeable and Accessible Immigration Attorney

Robert Milla has been our attorney for years as my wife and I waited and waited for DOMA to be struck down and he was right there the minute it happened to represent us in attaining her Permanent Resident Status. We couldn’t be happier with Robert's expertise, availability to talk with us and answer... all our questions and skillfully represent us throughout the past few years of this important process. I highly recommend him to any family with immigration issues. He is very knowledgeable and accessible to his clients.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
