I hired Vicki after a bad experience with my first lawyer. Vicki explained the process, gave me my options, and kept me informed during the entire process. Because I was educated on what to expect next and my various options, nothing was a surprise. Divorce is hard, but when you have someone who is a... diligent advocate, who keeps you in the loop and explains everything, the anxiety is relieved.

Vicki Kelly takes great pride in her career! It showed when it came to dealing with my case. She was exceptional at handling the sensitive matters of my child custody. She listens to all of your concerns in addressing each of them and letting you know when it's a major to minor point. She will alwa...ys have your best interest at heart. She is very open and honest. My case was drawn out for almost a year; it kept getting pushed back due to other reasons. Vicki felt my frustration and started making demands. She never let up on the GAL assigned to my case and got a pretrial set. When my ex wife made false accusations against me, Vicki addressed them immediately. Her pretrial memos were flawless, she is well organized. She is quick to respond through email. Only one court date she could not attend due to another court appearance; she sent Hilary Sefton in her place. Met Hilary for only an hour but felt I knew her just as long as Vicki. She too was on her A game! My ex wife and I were in a conflict when it came to visitation. We had 50/50 custody for the last 6 years and I wanted it revised in our JPA. Standing our ground and Vicki having full knowledge of the law and the facts of my case I WON!!!! I have been through a lot of personal struggles and this was something that I really needed. I love my children very much and Vicki knew that! There is a reason why she was awarded 2015-2016 Pro Bono Service Award. She thinks with her heart and head!!! I will forever be indebted to her. Vicki is absolutely awesome :) I needed an attorney in the Cook County area for a private adoption. I was part of a private adoption which was to be uncontested. Since the adoption was going to be in Cook County I started looking for attorneys that could represent me, as I live outside of Cook Coun...ty. I began looking, and had family in the Naperville area, so I decided to find an attorney there, as it would be easy for me to travel to the area if necessary. I did a bit of research and found Grunyk and associates. Originally the wonderful thing that drew me to this law firm was the fact that most of what they did was all family law and their practitioners had many years of experience. I was confident that anyone in the firm would know exactly what needed to be done for a successful outcome. I called the number and asked for an initial consultation and they were able to get me in for a consultation a couple of days later. The day of the consultation, I met Vicki Kelly. The first day we met, I explained what the situation was, and she was straight forward and told me what the process would look like and what the general costs were for my situation. Vicki, was kind, warm, and really enthusiastic about helping me with the adoption. Her confidence and knowledge put me right at ease, and I hired her as quickly as I possibly could. She was very receptive and whatever question or concern I had, she would immediately get back to me at her earliest convenience. The wonderful thing about Vicki and her team is that everyone I met or spoke with at Grunyk and associates was just as awesome! The adoption became a bit more complicated than originally expected and throughout it all, Vicki was there for me, guiding me, putting my mind and ease, and even listening to my frustrations when I had them and needed to share them. All of the documents prepared by her and her associates, were always sent to me before the filings, and they always respected my wishes, and fought for me through the whole process. They were even kind enough to allow me some time to put finances in order for the fees that were steadily mounting because of the complications that arose. Vicki was always supportive, available and really fighting for a positive outcome for my situation. She was knowledgeable and gave me the facts, even when I was scared of hearing them. Her and the team that was involved in my adoption proceedings were always prepared, with case law, and previous cases that pertained to what we were going through. They had everything prepared for the legal fight that ensued. Vicki, I think was able to understand what I was going through, and really helped me get through the hurdles, court dates, processes, and all of what came with my particular situation. The day that all of the motions and the such were finally completed and when judge signed off on the last hurdle we had, Vicki was there to share a hug with me. Vicki and her associates were able to share in the absolute happiness that was provided the day we received news that the adoption could be finalized. We had to wait a few months for additional paper work that needed to be completed, but the adoption became final on 11/18/15 which we will always remember. I do believe people are put into our lives for a reason, and Vicki helped make my life complete. She rocks and so does everyone at Grunyk and Associates. They will forever have my gratitude and thanks.
