Do you homework!
My lawyer failed to prepare for trial properly. He failed to interview my witnesses and ascertain what information they had. I attempted many times to meet with him before trial to set up strategy and interview my witnesses. Those attempts were unsuccessful. My lawyer would cancel or postpone meeting...

Replied last August 28, 2014I'm sensitive to this post. I don't know who it is, but I have not received this sort of complaint from any of my clientele. I would gladly engage and explain, but this post doesn't match up with any case that I have handled. It's important to note however, that some cases do not conclude in the manner that some spouses or parents would desire. Many clients are disenchanted with the system and lawyers, and rightfully so, because the laws care little for a parent's desire and rather applies a child's best interest approach. For many parents, the application of law is unthinkable, but it's the best we lawyer have to work with in a difficult and emotional struggle in court. That said, I'm very approachable and this post is inconsistent with many others. I'm one of a very few attorney that shares my cell phone number with my clients. I'm sorry this person isn't happy, but I can assure them, whomever they are, that my trial skills are bar none - top notch, and preparation is never an issue. I've only lost 2 custody trials in my entire career, and I don't think there are many attorneys that can make that claim, if any at all. So, to whomever this is, I hope you find peace.
