Mike was an excellent attorney from the first meeting until our court win. Mike was very straightforward, easy to talk to and thorough in his strategy. I hired Mr. O'Donnell for a situation that I got caught up on in November of 2017 that consisted of leaving the scene of an accident to also include being charged with hitting a parked vehicle (officially a stop sign). At the time I was a federal employee so it was crucial that this case was handled... by a professional that knew how this could possibly damage my reputation holding a government clearance. I was referred to Michael O'Donnell by a well respected attorney from Chicago. I met with Mike at his office in Wheaton and discussed my options reguarding a DUI Charge I received in DuPage County. After hearing what Mike had to say about my charges and hearing my options my Husband & I felt very con...fident in his ability to represent me for this case that I signed a contract with him that day. Even tho he was only the second attorney I had consulted with. He never made any promises that he knew he couldn't keep. And he was always very up front & honest with me from the first time I met with him up until my last court date. Mike went above and beyond what I expected. He took the time to do his research on specific details of my case. Never once did I doubt or disagree with his approach. Eventually after all toxicology came back we stood firm on the thought that we had a good case. In the time we were waiting on toxicology I never lost my license (not even a single day), had no court costs, never had to get a DUI Evaluation done, nor did I have to complete any Victim Impact Panel or Drug/Alcohol counseling through the state. As a result of a couple poor choices I made, I was arrested in Dupage County for DUI (July 2015) and again in Cook County (May 2016) I drive trucks for a living, so not only my regular drivers license was at stake but my CDL and job were on the line as well! I was extremely nervous to say the least............. I contacted many lawyers for consultation, and found that Mr. O'Donnell was one of the most experienced attorneys in the area. He has been prosecutor and defense for many years, so he knows both sides of the courtroom process, which worked out great! **** My case was complex because there was a minor traffic accident involved, but Mr. O'Donnell handled it with ease. He was able to get the initial license suspension lifted so I was able to continue working, and when it came time for trial, he was able to produce a judge's finding of NOT GUILTY! A tremendous relief!!! As for the second one in Cook County... Again, he was able to get the initial license suspension recinded, and had the entire case dismissed without even going to trial!! Unbelievable!! Throughout the entire process he was very professional, but also very friendly, easy to talk to and get along with. I definitely won't be making these types of mistakes again, but if you or anyone you know has... Do yourselves a huge favor and call Mr. O'Donnell immediately!!!
