I hired Joe based upon a personal referral. I had experience with terrible lawyers in the past which drained my limited funds, and went on to represent myself pro-se successfully, for a few years. When my ex got a lawyer, I knew I needed representation once again. My experience with Joe was fantastic.... I had already begun my case and had filed motions and petitions and he was able to listen to what I had started, what I wanted and needed from him, and was able to pick up where I was, and deliver. My case was strictly financial but dealt with many different and confusing aspects of child support modification, retroactive support, defaulted support, arrears payments and other expenses. He was able to effectively work with opposing counsel, correct their "errors" and we were able to compromise and come to an agreed order without needing to argue anything in front of the judge. Joe went through a very frustrating and many times unbelievable divorce and custody battle with me that lasted 2yrs, seemed much longer given the events that occurred on a daily basis involving my ex. I called and emailed Joe many hundreds of times throughout the process. Sometimes multiple calls an...d emails a day and Joe always responded. Joe is very honest and will tell you things you don't always want to hear and may not like but he is doing this with your best interest at heart. He was always a professional, during my case there were multiple other attorneys we both had to deal with and I would take Joe any day of the week compared to the other attorneys I dealt with. He understands the law very well and is compassionate about the fact that there is a lot that simply isn't fair but the law is the law. Many times Joe was on the receiving end of my anger and frustration with how things were going and while it was nothing he did or could do to change, he was empathetic and let me vent. He is a very hard worker and you know he is vested in your case by the amount of hours he puts in. He always told me I could call him anytime, even when he was on vacation and even during the holidays, a very rare thing these days! Joe is not like many other attorneys that are out to just get billable hours. Even though he is a partner in his own firm, you are dealing with Joe every step of the way, no one else. At the end of the case Joe came through for me in every way with an outcome that was incredible. I am sure Joe will be in my life and my kids for years to come due to the nature of my case but I am glad that I have someone in my corner I can trust and know will do whatever he can to get the best results.
