Larry Dohman

I was found guilty of what would of been by second DUI conviction. I had failed a field sobriety test and blew a .052. The prosecutor relied heavily on the field test and pushed for a conviction after hearing testimony form the arresting officer. The prosecutor did now mention the BAC score of .052 b...ut somehow convinced the judge to find me guilty. After the conviction Lawrence immediately filed a petition to ask the judge to reverse his decision of guilty. On the day of sentencing, the judge was asked to comment on the letter that stated the evidence was heavily weighed on the opinion of the field sobriety test done by and officer who had only one other arrest in 15 years along with his last training class being over 12 years old. The judge agreed that the decision was based on a 300 lbs man standing on one leg and counting would be impossible. The judge then changed his verdict to not guilty and dismissed the case. I was so relived after hearing this. I am not a irresponsible drinker yet alone consider my self a drinker. Lawrence is one attorney that works hard for his clients and really earns his paycheck. I would recommend Lawrence to everyone.

A friend suggested Larry's services to me when my third (3rd) DUI was written. He worked me through the court system and after several continuances got me off on a 'technicality' that was overlooked by the prosecuting State's Attorney. And then MY FOURTH (4th). I didn't 'blow', so my license was... pulled for a year, and guess who I called immediately! Larry didn't have a lot to say when I called because I knew that he was disappointed in my return. He simply said, "well, come on in and let's see what we can do!" I won't go into all of the details, but after many months of continuances, I was found not guilty by a bench trial. In my opinion, Larry is about as good as you'll find when searching for a DUI attorney. But the point of this post is that in all the time I spent with Larry, AT NO TIME did he ever 'PROMISE' me or 'GUARANTEE' me any favorable results! Larry is very professional and I followed his lead in every direction, but I was never misled to believe that he could guarantee me ANYTHING! In my opinion, if you are shopping for a DUI attorney, look for someone who can show RESULTS. I believe that most everyone realizes that a true 'professional' will never GUARANTEE you anything!

That's right! I blew over the legal limit and Lawrence was able to get both DUI charges dismissed, speeding ticket dismissed, no front plate ticket dismissed and I still don't have a front plate on my car!!! Too good to be true? Apparently not when Lawrence James Dohman is your lawyer. When I got pul...led over I thought I was no where close to .08 otherwise I wouldn't have gotten in the car. I was very co-operative with the officer and performed well on the field sobriety test but the officer wanted to give me a breath test anyway. I'd always been told not to blow outside and to wait until you get to the station to increase odds of beating the test. So thats what I did and later learned you are better off not blowing at all. Anyway, I blew a .091. Barely over, but I was still screwed for lack of a better term. Lawrence had previously produced great results for two of my friends so it was a no brainer to hire him. He saw from the dashcam video how well I did and fought for me. In the end I walked away with a minimal fee and a ticket for improper lane usage. Thanks again Lawrence!

I hired Larry for my DUI charge that happened late last year. I had two seperate charges, one for the DUI, and an administrative trial for refusing to breathalize (possibly loss of license for 1 year).
