Jeni was an absolute joy to work with. She is extremely smart, knows the law and most importantly does what is right for the clients. We had an extremely complex stepparent adoption case that involved abandonment among other factors. The birth parent wouldn't consent so we had an uphill battle for te...rmination of parental rights. Jeni did a great job during our hearing and prepped us very well for the questions. Our family couldn't be happy with her work and the outcome of our case. My lawyer failed to do many things for my case. My son's dad is not his biological father and the very first thing that Jen should have done was to try to get his name removed from the birth certificate before even taking him to court. She should have also had the DNA test court ordered for evidence ...later. These are all things I learned that should have happened before our court hearing not until after this happened. Jen didn't guide me personally into the right decisions that could have helped me keep my son. After our case was done and the temporary hearing was finished, I wanted to switch judges due to a conflict of interest and Jen never informed me I could do so until after it was too late. The judge that I had doesn't favor mom winning cases, which I also didn't find out until after, but Jen should have known which judge would benefited in our case. I would never spend $10,000 on this lawyer. It's not the fact that I didn't win the case, it's the fact that Jen didn't do my case the way she should have. I have talked to several different lawyers after her whom all told me that she didn't present my case the way she should have. I wouldn't recommend her to any parents trying to win the custody of their child if their case is messy.
