Family law attorney

I thought I knew what I was doing when I divorced my husband of 18 years. I thought I was protecting myself and my children. He said he was willing to support the kids through college. He said he wanted to make sure that we were okay. He said .... And I trusted him. I found out two years later... when my daughter turned 18 years old that I was wrong and he wasn't willing anymore. He had "moved on." If only I had hired Lee Novelli to represent me or at least review my agreement with my former spouse, I would not be supporting my two children through college alone (financially & emotionally & intellectually) and I probably would have avoided much of the emotional torture I've experienced the least two years. Lee was realistic about my chances and educated me on Minnesota family law. It's not as easy as we all think. I also learned that one needs a family law specialist - I had an attorney who messed up any chance of getting alimony. Lee's support helped me get at least some settlement and helped me greatly to focus on the important facets of life - my children and my future. She has been realistic, yet sympathetic. Hire an attorney! It's worth the small investment to avoid future surprises and disappointment. Lee was clear from the beginning that she supports fair and honest settlements between divorcing couples. A neutral approach from the beginning can divert anger and hostility, which is poison for any person, especially children. A couple divorcing is full of emotion and will benefit from professional & realistic legal assistance. And Lee shouldered much of the aggravation of dealing with my former spouse's aggressive attorney - thanks, Lee! Lee Novelli is intellectually sharp and has a gentle yet firm personality. I highly recommend her and have already referred her to people considering divorce.
