John T. Fields

I appointed John Fields as my attorney in my custody case for my son. He filed an emergency motion. The judge essentially told him he hadn't followed the correct procedure, and ordered him to file things correctly. He never filed that second motion. So here I am, out $3,000 and nothing was accomplish...ed. I fired him as my lawyer, and retained new counsel. It's sad that his lack of follow through caused me so much wasted time and money. Look elsewhere, there are lawyers locally who wont waste your time and money. I'd really appreciate my money back, as I've had to hire someone else, however I haven't received any response back from him or his office.

He came across as this pitbull. After the first appointment, I NEVER saw him again. He passed me off to a female attorney in his office. She was weak to say the least. When I asked to have him in court they would say we have to check his calendar. Never did he go to court for me! The office doesn'...t return your calls. The only thing they are good at is ringing up your bill!

Attorney Fields never even showed up to my T.R.O. as promised but a younger much less qualified and incapable attorney was there. I was informed that attorney Fields was " sick" and unable to make my court date the day before. The other attorney did not enter anything as evidence as was planned... and cross examined with as few questions as necessary. They also charged me for my initial consult which I never agreed to and was told that it was complimentary, obviously more lies. When I left them for a new attorney I was completely taken aback at the cost that they had the audacity to charge me. Almost $5,000.00 for something that I called around for priced an Avg of approx $1200 to $1500 for the whole case. They combined both my contract amounts just to cover the one. It has been a back and forth nightmare with them for any and everything that I need that has to do with my case. Watch your money and your own best interests because they are only watching out for theirs.

The law firm discribes John as "Pitbull attorney". This is far from the truth. His is average at best and puts a lot of his work onto younger/less experience attorneys. By doing this I don't feel you get the type of quality John discribes as a "pitbull" and the results of the case showed. The on...ly time you really get to talk to him is just before meeting with the judge. The only thing he is a "Pitbull" at is making sure he get paid and doesn't work with his clients on payment. Becare and watch closely on how much of a bill you are racking up because he does not communicate your balance as he working for you and before you know it your bill will be over 11, 000. Quality does NOT match what you are paying for.
