We had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Attorney Fields as opposing council in a child placement dispute. His client weaponized the court system again my husband & rather than acting in the best interest of the child by allowing both parents to be involved in the child's life, he facilitate...d the court proceedings lasting from December 2020-June 2022. He recommended & successfully had a financial discovery & child custody evaluation ordered by the court against a parent (my husband) that had been nothing but forthcoming & cooperative throughout all proceedings. I fully support an attorney/the court keeping a parent, mother OR father, away from a child if there is good reason to, however there was no abuse, neglect, or addiction from either party in this case. Still, Attorney Fields encouraged his client and the courts to keep my husband away from his daughter. Thankfully, we had an amazing attorney on our side that stood up for our family. My husband went from not legally being his fathers child due to having joint custody & regular placement, NO THANKS to Attorney Fields or his client. He will not respond to an email and don't bother asking him to try and resolve the issues outside of the court room. He will not act in you or your child's best interest, he will act in the best interest of his bank account.

I hired Attorney Fields for my divorce. My divorce was very simple, and should have taken minimal time. 6 months and $10,000 later- nothing had been accomplished. I let him go as my Attorney, and hired someone else. Also, check your invoices! was shocked that I had been charged extra (i.e charged for... 2 hours in court, when we were only there for one hour, etc). When I brought this up to the Firms attention I was ignored. Please consider hiring a different attorney who won't waste your time and money.

I probably should have known better than to respond to a lawyer who trolls the court records for new cases... but I was out of state and the few recommendations I had did not return my calls. Mr. Fields office was responsive and immediately took my call, heard the basics of my divorce case and q...uoted my retainer... I went ahead and gave them my credit card number and they said they would send me an authorization and a schedule of fees... however, about 30 minutes after the call I changed my mind after considering the fact my court hearing would be 2 counties away and I would be paying for the time Fields would be driving... seemed like a waste. I immediately called and they agreed not to charge my card. About 15 minutes later I received a call from their office and they advised attorney Fields wanted to speak with me... I said OK and I told him my concerns about paying for unnecessary travel. He tried to convince me to stay and mentioned he would not charge full hourly wages for travel time... he then went right in to discussing some vague strategy about what he would try to do with the case... I listened and gave him a few details about my situation, but I was still unsure. However, Mr. Fields apparently decided I still wanted to retain him so they billed my card and he contacted my Wife's lawyer to advise he was taking the case (which I was told the following day). Meanwhile I was continuing to look for a local attorney and the next business day I called Mr. Fields' office again and told them I was not interested in using their services and would go with a local attorney. They advised they would refund my retainer and that was it.... until approximately 45 days later when I finally received my refund minus $285 for the "consultation" aka Fields convincing me to stay with him. So needless to say, I would advise you do not even call the office unless you are certain you want to use them.

I retained this office for help finalizing a divorce case that was a year in the process and scheduled for final trial already. there was a prenup in place and the only thing that they were really hired to do was ensure was that the prenup was not overturned as my husband wanted a portion of my retir...ement fund and get a permanent child support order entered or the temporary one upheld. They bungled things from day one, client information was entered incorrectly in their system and never fixed in spite of phone calls and assurances to the contrary, items intended to be sent tome were instead sent to my ex-husbands address (with my name). I thank heavens that we didn't have to go to actual trial as I cringe to think of what would have/could have gone wrong there with this group representing me.
