Yes, insurance companies will hire certain doctors to evaluate and/or review medical records reflecting treatment provided by your medical doctors. This is for the purpose of having the “independent” medical doctor (once again paid by the insurance company) give a second medical opinion on you. You can guess how the medical report will be written. I would contact their office sooner vs later to find out if you should even speak with an employee of the workers compensation insurance company. Aaron and Armando will not be able to help you medically, but will do a great job of making sure you get medical help and try to minimize the influence the insurance company has regarding treatment and eventually compensation.
