My family was in an extremely sensitive situation and knew we needed to seek competent and assertive legal counsel. Yet, we were not sure about who we could trust or where to start. Fortunately, a friend suggested I contact Attorney Vargas. Traditionally, I have strong mistrust of lawyers and am ambi...valent about them being forthright, efficient with time, and/or interested in my specific needs. From the onset Vargas put my family at ease. First, he personally contacted our family within 1/2 a business day to follow up with our initial inquiry. Attorney Vargas’ prompt attention assured us he would be responsive to our time sensitive needs. During our initial call, he patiently listened to and acknowledged our concerns. He also helped us sort out and identify the realities of our situation. Using layman’s terms, he referenced laws to dismantle our fears stemming from emotions and speculation. At the end of the initial call, we had an immediate action plan to move forward and to better cope with the situation. Having immediate and realistic feedback and action planning was critical to bringing us peace of mind. Next, Attorney Vargas met with us in person to follow up on action items we implemented after our initial call. Fortunately, our issue was resolved. His in-person meeting confirmed our belief in him as a competent and steadfast professional. He continued to be professional, competent with his legal knowledge, and more importantly approachable and open to ALL our questions. He really helped us feel like he was on our side and leading our team. I usually do not write reviews, but felt compelled to document Attorney Vargas’ strong services and care to his clients. Mr. Vargas took a case for my disabled mother in which his monetary gain would at best be minimal. My mother broke her hip and could no longer reside at her apartment complex due her difficulty negotiating stairs. A moving date was set up and certain items were left behind to be picked up at a late...r date. The rent for the apartment was paid for the entire month which gave me enough time to move my mother and go back before the end of the month to clean and get said items. Upon return the items were missing and the apartment had been freshly painted. Even though the items did not have great value, just a few hundred dollars I wanted my mother to be reimbursed for those missing items which were removed. The landlord denied the claim and said by moving out the apartment was abandoned even though I never told the landlord we were done nor did I turn in the keys. Mr Vargas took the case even though he did not have great knowledge of landlord/Tenant cases. He treated my mother with dignity and respect, did great research and was prepared when we finally went to court. My mother received a judgement in her favor.
