We can’t thank Leah enough for her intervention in my son’s case. Her and assistant Jada’s experience was evident in understanding of the part his mental condition and substance abuse played in the crime and the outcome. She was always respectful but firm, showed good insight in presenting options, ...always clear and concise. Leah was hired to represent my nephew, who found himself facing a felony charge, fleeing law enforcement. I received a phone call of my nephew's arrest in the middle of the night, at 7 am, I contacted Leah's office and within 3 hours, she was representing my nephew, in his first appearance while ...in jail and immediately set a course of action. This was my nephew's first offense and as he was arrested in a different county, there were numerous obstacles we had to overcome. Leah patiently guided us through the process, always explaining what things meant from a legal perspective, ensuring we understood as decisions were made. She was thorough, direct, went to bat on his behalf, as we attended multiple hearings prior to my nephew entering a guilty plea to the amended misdemeanor charge, and Judge issued a 12-month DPA. With the DPA, my nephew was required to attend monthly therapy sessions; bi-monthly drug + alcohol testing and I'm happy to say we just hit our 1-year mark and the felony charge is officially reduced to a misdemeanor. When confronted with an arrest, it's horribly scary and navigating the legal system requires having an advocate. I can't recommend Leah enough if you ever find yourself in such a difficult situation.
