Her practice focuses on representing people accused of crime in State, Federal and Municipal Courts throughout Wisconsin, including handling investigations and pending cases. Attorney Coffee has also litigated cases before the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Attorney Coffee is on the Board of the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is the past Board Chair and current member of the State Bar of Wisconsin’s Criminal Law Section, which is made up of and represents judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys throughout Wisconsin. The Board addresses proposed State legislation and policy issues effecting Wisconsin’s criminal justice system.
Attorney Coffee was previously a staff attorney at the American Bar Association Death Penalty Representation Project in Washington, DC, assisting capital defenders in death row cases. She received her law degree from Marquette University Law School, and her undergraduate degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin/Milwaukee.
