Anthony D. Cotton

My boyfriend was accused of a very serious felony crime against a child a short while ago by someone close to him. I immediately contacted Atty. Anthony Cotton to seek legal advise. Atty. He was also on the phone with me giving me only the information I needed. Although I wasn't crazy about this, he assured me that this was the best way to protect myself and my partner. Attorney Cotton gave me advice on how to communicate with my boyfriend's employer in order to ensure that they stayed as informed as they needed to be. As the holiday weekend came to an end, so did my boyfriends stay. Attorney Cotton contacted the D.A. and had him released as no charges had officially been filed yet. A few days later when the detective called again we knew to immediately call the lawyer again. Attorney Cotton was away on vacation but had already briefed his partner, Attorney Donna Kuchler on the entire case. They didn't miss a beat. By the next day, Attorney Kuchler had the entire case dropped. No charges were filed and we have been able to continue our lives as normal. I should also mention that my boyfriend and I are an LGBT couple. There was no judgement passed during this entire case. Attorney Cotton and Attorney Kuchler and their entire office treated us just as any other couple should be treated. We can't thank them enough for everything they've done for us and the life they have given back to us. There is no other lawyer that we would consider going to if any legal situations should come up again.

Anthony defended me in a federal marijuana conspiracy case. The charges were very serious. I was also facing a lot of time. My case involved mandatory minimum sentencing guidelines. Thanks to his amazing litigation during my sentencing,  I received a sentence that I can only describe as a miracle. Giving me a second chance at life.  I would highly recommend Anthony to anyone needing legal advice. He is a hard working man of his word. I am proud to now call him my friend. My family and I will never be able to thank you enough. Mere words cannot express our gratitude. 

To begin this review I would like to let you know that I am a very tough critic. I believe high marks and compliments are meant to be earned and not freely given. I hired Tony for the second time in 2010 when facing my third felony possession charge and my second OWI (among several other charges).... Needless to say, I was horrified to the bone. All my hard work, sacrifices, and accomplishments were about to be washed away in an instant due to a serious of untimely encounters with the police. I decided to work with Tony again after the impressive outcome he delivered for me in 2008. To make a long story short, Tony helped me avoid my third felony charge and I am now living my life felony-free. Having worked with another renowned and respected lawyer for my first case, I can say with confidence that Tony is on another level. Throughout every step of the legal process I was kept well informed with the progress he was making. Although I heard that he was working on other "serious" or "career building" cases, I knew for a fact that he was doing everything humanly possible to ensure my freedom. My life got flipped upside down when I got misrepresented by a previous lawyer. Thanks to Tony, he represented me, talked to me throughout the whole process through e-mail. Tony, defended us, in a very absurd criminal case, against the State of Wisconsin. What we liked in him was his optimism, his energy and the effort to reassure us of the possibilities to end the case with a complete dismissal. Before choosing Tony, we saw many lawyers who were so boring that we knew ...they were not at the level we expected to deal with the case. More importantly Tony understood that as executives we had different needs and counselled us very well about what to do and what not.
