Biography
Alex E. Eichhorn is the founder and managing attorney of Axis Legal, LLC, a Milwaukee-based law firm focused exclusively on representing injured workers in Wisconsin. With over a decade of experience, more than 2,000 cases handled, and $25 million recovered for his clients, Alex is recognized as one of Wisconsin’s leading voices in workers’ compensation law.
Alex earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 2014, where he focused on civil litigation and workers’ compensation law. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and has remained deeply connected to the UWM community, most recently being honored as the 2024 commencement keynote speaker for the College of Letters & Science.
During law school, Alex played a central role in several campus organizations, including the Legal Volunteer Clinic, Business Law Society, Intellectual Property Law Society, and Dispute Resolution Society. In 2014, he was selected as Marquette’s ABA Negotiation Competition representative, highlighting his early skill in advocacy and strategic negotiation.
Following graduation, Alex joined Tabak Law, LLC, where he built one of Wisconsin’s largest workers’ compensation practice and became an equity partner by 2016. In 2025, Alex led a strategic split-off, founding Axis Legal, LLC to provide more client-centered, specialized advocacy in work injury cases.

Straightforward and Honest
A friend had dealt with attorney Alex on a work comp claim that and told me that I should give Alex. His honesty and responsiveness is what really impressed me. He was straightforward in telling me what to do and that I didn't need his help yet. Hopefully it stays that way.
