Alex E. Eichhorn--Founder & Managing Attorney
Alex E. Eichhorn is the founder and managing attorney of Pivot Work Injury Law, LLC (formerly Axis Legal), a Wisconsin law firm dedicated exclusively to representing injured workers. With more than a decade of experience, Alex and his team have helped over 3,000 injured workers recover the benefits and compensation they deserve and have secured more than $50 million on behalf of his clients.
Alex earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 2014, where he concentrated on civil litigation and workers' compensation law. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and has remained closely connected to the university, most recently serving as the 2024 Commencement Keynote Speaker for UWM's College of Letters & Science.
While at Marquette, Alex was actively involved in the Legal Volunteer Clinic, Business Law Society, Intellectual Property Law Society, and Dispute Resolution Society. In 2014, he was selected to represent Marquette University in the American Bar Association Negotiation Competition, recognizing his early aptitude for advocacy and strategic negotiation.
Following graduation, Alex joined Tabak Law, LLC, where he built one of Wisconsin's largest workers' compensation practices and became an equity partner in 2016. In 2025, he founded Axis Legal, LLC to provide more focused, client-centered representation for injured workers. In 2026, the firm became Pivot Work Injury Law, reflecting its continued growth and its mission of helping injured workers move forward after life-changing workplace injuries.

Straightforward and Honest
A friend had dealt with attorney Alex on a work comp claim that and told me that I should give Alex. His honesty and responsiveness is what really impressed me. He was straightforward in telling me what to do and that I didn't need his help yet. Hopefully it stays that way.

Social Security
I was very satisfied with how prepared Alex was at the hearing and how knowledgeable he was about my claim. His paralegal Mike did a great job answering questions and making sure my doctor got the records that we needed to win. Tabak Law was great!

My claim for social security was approved at court after year of waiting. Attorney Alex knew my issues in and out and was there for reassurance when things were looking bleak. Very nice Law Firm.

Got the job done!
Alex did a very good job explaining what my claim was actually worth and letting me know how the process was going to unravel. Him and his staff did a nice job getting my claim finalized in a fairly timely fashion. Although, he is somewhat difficult to get in touch with, he did always return my calls...
