WORST REPRESENTATION EVER

I hired Tom Viner for a 1st time owi, pcs, pdp because he indicated that he would move to get urine test thrown out. the officer made numerous mistakes. Tom never discussed with me after that or tried to get this thrown out he in my observation did nothing but fill out forms. infact the state came to ...us before appearance in court with a plea bargin to plea guilty on possesion of controlled substance and they would dismiss owi. tom wanted me to plea guilty on a charge that I was not guilty of. this was hemp flower undder the iowa farm bill this was perfectly legal to have I also have a medical marijuana card and am disabled. I was never intoxicated not even a little bit. I blew zero for alchohol twice and at the station. I was driving fine. pulled over for taillilte out and told the officer openly right away that i had all of this as I was perfectly legal. tom never follows up with me updates. Conner the law clerk I ask for him to resend information to me as i could not find my copy he starts yelling at me unprofessionally and refuses to send it and just says you have it. well i would not be asking for it if i could find it. he hung up on me. tom also was 1 hour late to my court set date and time witch does not help the case already pissed off DA. Tom had no idea of what the hemp law is and admitted to me when he said "what is that". two days before another court set date 1-1/2 hour away I called to confirm everything is on for it conner said yes be there. then 3 hours before I had already drove over there earlier and got a call from tom that we wont need to go he filed a 30 day extension. nothing like waiting till the last minute to do this tom also a waste of my time. tom is the most expensive lawyer I have ever had in my lifetime and the worst lawyer I have ever had in my life. Based on my experience DO NOT GO TO TOM VINER LAW OFFICE!!! they did not do what they said they would. I am 62 years old I rarely drink I blew zero twice the state put me on disability, the state issued me a medical marijuana card, the state issued me a drivers license, the state never asked me to turn in my license upon getting a mmc card, the state says I was owi even if you in no way are intoxicated and have not been intoxicated for two weeks. the state says you are owi 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year. the state has tremendously contradics themself here. thc is in your body all the time even if you are not in anyway intoxicated or impaired in anyway. I was mistreated in many ways not only with Tom and conner but also the state. Their "dismissed charges" got me one night in jail, bullied by a police officer, loss of licence for 6 months, probation for 1 year, probation officer assigned to me to report to, a lifelock ignition device for liquor that did not even play into the charges, several hundred dollars in fines, several hundred dollars to the DOT several hundred dollars to retired cops paid to lifelock ignition, this is my first offence on anything I have no prior record I have had no traffic or moving violations in over 5 years. I am a retired buisnesman on disability that was doing nothing against the law except a tail lite out. WOW YOU DECIDE BUT ASK ME DO NOT HIRE TOM VINER OR EVEN THINK ABOUT IT

Excellent. Thorough. Truly Represented Me In Court

I found myself in an unfortunate situation after attending a concert in Cedar Rapids where I was charged with simple marijuana possession. Simple is what I thought not being from Iowa or knowing their incredibly tough cannabis laws. Everything from my career to my freedom were on the line and Mr. V...iner truly took it seriously and provided me an outcome from the court that couldn't be any better. What makes this attorney special in my book isn't that he just did his job for me, and did it well. It was AFTER the fact - years later I found myself going through some extensive background checks to become a licensed cannabis business in Colorado. Due to the late 2000s floods my paperwork had been destroyed at the court house and my records had been expunged from the Iowa computer systems. When Colorado ran my background however the FBI was able to see my jailing record from Cedar Rapids. The State of CO required some kind of hard copy proof that my case had been taken care of and was truly expunged from my record. Mr. Viner and his firm to the rescue! The firm had my records preserved in their off-site storage and were able to send documents to the state on my behalf in about 20 minutes- I was issued my license as a result. So - after that long-winded story I hope you will do some research on your needs for an attorney. I believe anyone hiring Mr. Viner or his firm will be in extraordinarily capable and caring hands.

Viner Law Firm is great!

Tom Viner and his team are very knowledgeable and easy to work with. They fight for their client's best interests. Tom was great at explaining things that I thought I understood but didn't make sense. He didn't tell me what I wanted to hear, but told me what was likely to happen and what could/cou...ldn't happen. I recommend Tom and his team.
