Alfred Eugene Willett

My experience with Al Willett was extremely negative. In my case, he did not read or follow court orders, which caused serious concerns about his attention to detail and competence. I also found him to be dishonest in his communications with me, which completely undermined my trust as a client. Ba...sed on my experience, he demonstrated a poor understanding of basic law and court procedure, and I frequently had to question or correct actions that should have been routine for an attorney. Overall, I felt inadequately represented and would not recommend his services to anyone seeking competent and reliable legal representation.

I hired al Willet for a criminal defense lawyer and was not happy at all with him. I really regretted hiring him. Gave him $4,000 upfront, it was gone immediately. He wanted more money within the 1st month and he didn't seem to have done anything except go to the very 1st court date. By the time it c...ame to the plea deal I was so unhappy with him, wanted to fire him and hire anyone else, but felt committed since I had over $10k invested in him. Him and the prosecutor had it out for each other from previous trials and I just felt trapped in the middle, it made me very uncomfortable. I don't know for sure what ever happened with this, but I was reading online that Alfred Willett represented a murder trial for a woman that was a meth kingpin out of Kansas City I believe, and she filed for an appeal several year later, it got reviewed and the judge said he has never seen such poor representation. I think she got a new trial because of the job did. Im surprised he didn't lose his license for that. My advice is to NOT hire him for a lawyer. I felt a public defender could have done a better job at representing me and not have milked for every dime he could.
