Oliver S. Howell

My dad and I hired Oliver Howell in 2021 to help us with my grandfather's trust. My uncle took over as sole trustee when my mom passed and he thought all of the property of the trust was now his. Once Oliver got involved he started filing in the court system for us to get our personal property from t...he trust property first. It took over a year in order to finally get our property from the trust. Unfortunately on the day and time agreed upon, we had issues getting our property due to my uncle not willing to give us all of our stuff even though the court order said we could take it. I had to contact Oliver on a Saturday while at the trust property trying to get our stuff loaded up. Oliver spent a few hours contacting my uncle's lawyer firm to get this resolved. Long story short we had 6 court hearings in 2022 and Oliver was fully prepared for each one. Oliver would also give suggestions based on his experience that might be best for our situation. No matter our decision, Oliver always did the best he could to get us a favorable decision from the court system. I highly recommend his services if you have estate/trust issues. Oliver listens to the situation and does his best for his clients.

Oliver Howell of Howell, Parfet, & Schau handled the sale of our home to a private party without using any realtors. Oliver was terrific from the first contact. We were extremely impressed with how quickly Oliver responded to messages. He gave us an outline of the information he needed us to provi...de based on our negotiations with the buyer, then took our responses and crafted a perfect buy/sell agreement within three days. He responded to our questions and concerns on weekends and evenings. He also made arrangements for a title company to handle the closing, contacting them during the process to keep things moving. At one point, we had a road block because a mortgage from the 1990’s had not been discharged even though it had been paid before 2000. Oliver worked with the Title Company to make sure that was resolved. He reviewed all the closing work papers for us before we completed the sale. In summary, he made a difficult process easy for us and saved us tens of thousands of dollars.

We engaged Mr. Howell’s firm to help us with updating our 25 year old trusts and wills. We were referred to this firm by a lawyer friend of ours. We were pleased with how they engaged us, reviewed our existing documents, listened to our current status and recommended the necessary changes, all withou...t feeling the need to throw out what we already had. Mr. Howell was able to keep the vast majority of the trust and just make a few changes in an amendment. His help and advice was timely helping us navigate life in 2021 as far as additional estate planning goes.
