Biography
Jessica Haelewyn graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science Degree, with a major in Political Science and a double minor in History and Psychology. She then went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law. Ms. Haelewyn was the President of her Graduating Class, a member of the Advanced Mediation Competition Team, and worked in the First Amendment Clinic, the only clinic in the nation devoted to providing legal representation in defense of student press rights. Prior to starting Haelewyn Harris Law PLLC, Jessica Haelewyn worked for an elder law firm in Macomb County, Michigan where she focused on strategic Medicaid planning, Veteran’s Benefits, and Estate Planning.
Ms. Haelewyn is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in Michigan and Illinois, and is also a Veteran’s Affair Accredited Attorney. She currently lives in Ferndale, Michigan and enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and rooting for her Alma Maters.
