Healthcare Professional in-training with a limited educational license. Charged with DUI, first offense. The details of the event were not in my favor, as the situation was an accident involving a stop-sign and a BAC of 0.13. I was completely at a loss about how to proceed after this happened.... I was worried about my professional license, career, everything and anything. I researched lawyers and came across Mr. Andretz pretty quickly. I had a DUI (my only) in Michigan from 2015 that I reported to the board of nursing past the 30 day window (I self-reported it on my license renewal out of ignorance), and recently had an Administrative Complaint against me over it. I was worried about having something written on my nursing license s...tating that I failed to report my conviction. Robert was very thorough in addressing my concerns, and followed through with his promises (while being very clear on what would most likely happen, and what most likely not happen). He did not sell me dreams or raise my expectations to unrealistic outcomes, but instead was open and honest. My actual DUI was short lived and ended with me pulling the car over, parking and sleeping in a parking lot, however because my keys were in the ignition while I slept (in January) it was still a violation. I don't have any previous issues with the law and had great work experiences and references, and i'm pursuing graduate education. (I explain all this so you have background knowledge on what type of case the board was deciding on). While the Administrative Complaint could not disappear completely, Robert worked hard to make sure the notes on my complaint reflected a long list of my character, positive attributes, and accolades and not just the irresponsible decision I made that night. Furthermore (and more importantly), the outcome of the complaint was that I was found guilty of only receiving a DUI (and thus breaking the public health code) but was found NOT guilty on a failure to report charge. This was a huge victory for me because I already I have to report my DUI with every professional/career move I make, so reporting solely the DUI in the Administrative Complaint (and not a "failure to report" on top of that) is a win for me and my future. As written in my title, he is a little pricey, as he charges for every email and phone call he has with you, regardless of the length. But all in all, I got my money's worth and have no complaints. I would rather this outcome with a larger fee, than a more negative outcome and a decreased fee. You get what you pay for people. Thank you so much for all your help Robert, I appreciate it!

I found Mr. Andretz while searching for an attorney online after I had an unfortunate situation in which I was arrested for an OWI in Oakland County, with hearing and sentencing at the 47th district court in Farmington Hills. Initially I had actually retained a different attorney that I had found onl...ine and contacted. That attorney basically told me there was nothing I could do in the situation to better the outcome and the best thing for me to do would be to plead guilty and accept the consequences. I did not accept this and later found Mr. Andretz online who told me every case is different and that it was possible to have a more positive outcome. He was kind and insightful from our very first conversation. It was clear to me from the first conversation I had with Rob that he was very knowledgeable and experienced when it came to DUI cases involving healthcare professionals which is why I decided to hire him. I am a resident physician with a previous OWI that I was not convicted of in another state. Mr. Andretz was with me every step of the way and put my worst fears to rest regarding the situation. I again had an unfortunate situation in which I violated the terms of probation 3 months after sentencing. November 2017 I was arrested and charged with operating while intoxicated in tawas city in iosco county. I consulted Rob and a local attorney. I was concerned about not using a local attorney. I thought staying with the local gave me the best chance of getting a favorable outcome to protect my caree...r as a CRNA. However after months of poor communication and very little movement in my case, I questioned the local attorney about what he was doing in my case. He suggested I hire another attorney. I again turned to Rob Andretz. He immediately agreed to take over my case even though it was months later. He promised no outcomes but went to work. First off, his communication is excellent. He’s always available or will promptly reply to correspondence when he can. When my BAC came back as 0.168 late in proceedings, I was afraid that little would be able to be done to help my situation. Plus, the prosecutor was upset that I had changed attorneys late in proceedings. Rob again was very honest and open to me about my situation but remained diligent in my defense. The prosecutor offered operating while visually impaired. I did not accept at that time because Rob assured me he had more evidence he needed to review. When we returned for my pre trail hearing, the prosecutor offered disorderly conduct-drunk and careless driving. Rob negotiated disturbing the peace and careless driving which is very important because it was a non alcohol related charge. Rob is a excellent attorney with great communication. If you find yourself choosing between a local attorney and Rob, don’t make the mistake I did but instead go with Mr Andretz from the beginning!!!
