Always able to talk about my case.

When I was an active duty Marine I was stationed in Okinawa. So I was not on Eastern time during my divorce process. Jennifer took the time to be available when I was able to talk about my case. Even during the times I wasn't able to talk about my case with Jennifer....she still emailed me so I could... stay informed. Would not hesitate to recommend her or hire her again.

Not Prepared and Poor Performance

Jennifer Paine was our lawyer for an interstate adoption. We let her know well in advance (Months) that we were adopting and wanted to make sure all our ducks were in a row before the birth of the child. In order to bring home the baby back home to Michigan Jennifer needed to do paper work with the c...ourts and ICPC adoption office. Long story short something that should of taken a max of a couple weeks to complete and approve took 2 months. We were stuck in another state for 2 months because of her. She constantly said paperwork was turned in to various offices and that those offices were reviewing the paperwork. We called those offices and found out she had not turn anything in. She kept lying to us about the progress of the paperwork and never was proactive. She had not prepared any paperwork proir to birth and kept asking us to sign more and more document every other day while we were in the other state. When we finally got home, we switched lawyers and we are currently cleaning up the mess of paperwork she made. She seemed like a confident lawyer but she fell through when we needed her.

Dear Nick: We received your comment for the firm, and I invite you to call me personally to discuss your issues, which I am happy to do for you. I also invite you to contact the intestate attorney who worked for you in the other state. Interstate adoptions do take time, and our share of your paperwork we prepared when needed with great cooperation from you. We also were in constant contact with our court , often multiple times per day, to facilitate the interstate process with both states. This we did at our firm’s expense. The approval process in our state was complete within the time the court projected for us. We discussed this with you and your family daily. There is evidently some confusion here, and I suspect some of it has to do with the court asking your family members not to repeatedly call, as we were already in contact with the court, so it is likely your family does not have accurate information. Our share of your paperwork entered with approval for the ICPC office and by your county. Ultimately, we want the best for you and your family! Do not hesitate to reach out to discuss. JMP

Handle a tough situation

My son was facing a tough situation with custody of his son. He tried to work things out with his mother and just couldn’t. Jennifer was caring, understanding and really helped with with why these things are important to handle in court and have enforceable agreements. He did file and though it ...was tough he made it through with her help. Jennifer is not only a wonderful attorney but a wonderful resource. She would respond to his questions and fears. She truly cares for her clients!

Helpful, Professional, and Understanding

Jennifer has been helping me with a divorce that has turned nasty and has been exceptionally helpful. She has given me sound advice, explained the process and reasoning behind our plan of action. When the soon to be ex accused me of domestic violence to remove me from the house, she was able to hel...p me understand what I needed to do, help handle the dealings with the police and court, and is handling that secondary case now too. I couldn't ask for a better attorney to be helping me right now.

Atty Paine is careless or incompetent

Ms. Paine represented me in a very nasty divorce case in which my ex had brought a criminal case against me. Ms Paine asked me questions on the stand which caused me to incriminate myself. Next thing I knew I was being arrested and charged with a felony. Ms Paine tried to justify her mistake by sayin...g “they took my question and your answer out of context”. In all honesty Ms. Paine is a knowledgeable Atty, and knew better than to ask me incriminating questions she already. knew the answers to. I suspect she intentionally asked the questions knowing it would incriminate me. The question then would be why? I’ll let you come to your own conclusion. My recommendation, stay clear of Atty Paine you can’t trust her to represent you.
