My husband and I hired "attorney" Paine to handle him adopting my daughter so our family can feel whole. We have been working on this for over a year and a half with many issues of her lying about turning in paperwork, making calls to the court for updates, and me having to make trips to the court my...self to turn documents in that I sent to her weeks prior. Most of the time she would reply to my texts when asking for an update, but always saying she was in court and how great she was for replying while there. She pretty much never gave me updates until I asked for them. Now that all she had to do is turn in finalized accounting paperwork so we can have a final hearing she has stopped responding all together resulting in me hiring a new attorney. She will not respond to my new attorney to hand over our file or sign the substitution of attorney, making us have to take more steps to get this done. She has wasted over a year of our time and caused alot of stress for our family during what should be a happy event. I would not recommend this attorney by any means. If she would spend half the time getting her job done as she does raving about herself on social media she might be able to figure out how to do her job instead of causing families pain.

Jennifer Paine was our lawyer for an interstate adoption. We let her know well in advance (Months) that we were adopting and wanted to make sure all our ducks were in a row before the birth of the child. In order to bring home the baby back home to Michigan Jennifer needed to do paper work with the c...ourts and ICPC adoption office. Long story short something that should of taken a max of a couple weeks to complete and approve took 2 months. We were stuck in another state for 2 months because of her. She constantly said paperwork was turned in to various offices and that those offices were reviewing the paperwork. We called those offices and found out she had not turn anything in. She kept lying to us about the progress of the paperwork and never was proactive. She had not prepared any paperwork proir to birth and kept asking us to sign more and more document every other day while we were in the other state. When we finally got home, we switched lawyers and we are currently cleaning up the mess of paperwork she made. She seemed like a confident lawyer but she fell through when we needed her.

Attorney Paine is not only a highly educated and knowledgeable attorney, but she obviously cares about her clients more than anything else. She has chosen to make using the law to help people her number one goal in life. She answers her phone. I don't mean between 9 and 5. I mean at 2 in the morn...ing when you have a question. She answers a text or an email with in a few minutes. She helped my family with a difficult and emotionally-charged adoption case. We are eternally grateful for her expert advice and caring nature.
