Because my case is sensitive I paid close attention in terms of whom should I hire for this case. When I met with Milica and did consultation I decided to go a head in my case with her. I was right in taking that decision because during the entire process and interaction with her I felt comfortable w...
Dear Fatimah, I am so sorry that I wasn't able to get a hold of you. I had attempted to call you before my departure but was unable to reach you. I wanted to let you know that I am so sorry that you are not happy with who has taken over your case and that the matter was completely out of my hands. Your contract was with the firm and my former boss closed her firm. I looked for another job, and at my current law firm, we do not practice the type of law that I was helping you with, so I was not able to bring client's with me. I tried to contact all of the client's before I left, and sent each of you letters, however, once the firm was closed and I was at this new location, there was no possible way that I could have gotten in communication with you. I was told your case was transferred to another very competent attorney to finalize the services you paid for. It truly was out of my hands and I in no way ever imagined that you would be unhappy with who took over your case.

I hired this attorney for a personal injury matter. And though can be very nice, can also accuse you of not believing your Injuries. The reason I was unhappy is I could not reach her for a whole month, though I made calls and wrote letters. She also promised me things like you're court date will for...
I'm sorry you feel that way and certainly understand your frustrations with the process. However, I do believe it is necessary to clarify various matters. Originally you hired the firm where I was employed. I was not your primary attorney, and only became a part of your matter in an effort to assist with your case. I met with you at your convenience, often times outside of business hours in order to accommodate to you. As a result of my assistance, we were successfully able to remove a 50K lien from your case and obtain several thousand dollars more than your case was even evaluated for. I was able to do that because I did believe in you, and fought hard for your claims. As an attorney I am bound by ethics rules, and cannot maintain frivolous actions in a court of law. If I didn't believe in your case, I wouldn't have helped to fight for your case, nor would I have violated professional norms. I am saddened you felt that way and apologize if I ever gave you that impression. My intention was only to help assist in your case, and get you favorable results. Again, I was a non-primary attorney, whose only goal was to help you in this process. Your case was with the firm for nearly a year, and in litigation for a year before that. I assisted with your case for only a few months, until I left the firm. I explained the process to you on multiple occasions, and only relayed to you dates provided to me by opposing counsel and by the Court itself. I certainly understand your frustration, but I do not have any control over when the court hears cases. If there were cancelations, rescheduling matters or conflicts, that was beyond my control. I also never guaranteed a finalization of your case or distribution of your funds. As I previously mentioned, I do not control the courts docket, and was only able to provide you estimates. The dates I provided to you were based on dates established by law, dependent on the courts schedule and the resolution of your matter. I'm also very sorry that it was not relayed to you that I am no longer with the firm. As you hired the firm, and not me, and I was not your primary attorney, your file remained with the firm and I could not continue working on it. Unfortunately, I cannot answer calls or letters that I do not receive. I hope that all is well and that a resolution was reached in your matter. Best of wishes for your recovery and your future endeavors.

My husband and I have been working with Milica to try to get his citizenship for a number of years. She has always worked her hardest and has blown me away with her research, her ideas and thoughts and just the work she has done on our case. She thinks of everything under the sun. Recently my husban...

No conflict is an easy thing, especially a legal battle for custody. However, I am very thankful that Milica Filipovic represented me. From the beginning she took deep empathy to the circumstances of my case, pointing out to different possible outcomes and guiding me not just through the aspects of t...
