I have used Tom for nearly 30 years. He's a bulldog, blunt and straight forward. His advice is sound. His ability to argue the law is beyond what most lawyers could even dream of. It's foolish not to consider him as your representative.

DO YOUR RESEARCH AND SHOP AROUND
I'm not sure what my attorney did for me. He presented as kind and caring upon initial consultation, however, once he was hired, his overall approach changed. He seemed bothered by any questions when asked in person. He wanted to do things his way without any interference or interruption from myself, the client. He did respond to emails in a timely manner, for the most part. It would have been nice to know exactly what he did for my case. This was a drinking and driving case.

I wish I could give negative stars
This man was unbelievably condescending and rude. He cut me off , jumped to conclusions, and without hearing even 1 full sentence let alone a train of thought proceeded to lecture me about the proper way to have the conversation we never had. We never will. I don’t care if he’s the best lawyer in the court room for my case because out of it he’s a egotistical windbag. I wouldn’t hire this man if my life depended on it. I don’t know how he gets any clients.

I am sorry that you were upset about our phone call, but in fairness, what you describe is not what happened.
I told you that I must treat the very first phone contact we have differently than I would if we were meeting at my office face-to-face. I said that I needed to have a brief overview of your legal issues and that I needed to ask a few questions to make sure that your legal problem was something that I could even help you with, before hearing your entire story. I even described our first phone call and my questions for you by comparing it to first seeing the coming attractions at a movie theater before viewing the main feature.
And when I told you that I could not sue for an incident that happened back in 1994 you became hostile. You would not let me ask even one follow up question after that.
Again, I am sorry for your legal predicament, but please do not misstate what really happened.

Lemon look elsewhere
Very rude talks over you works for the other guy He don’t know what he is doing. Very unprofessional. Works for the other side and not in your best interest. Spent 10,000 dollars for him to tell me not to fight for my kids and give them up for adoption. Hardly works for the client and talks over you when you try to explain things. Don’t bother with this guy once he thinks badly of you it don’t matter he won’t let you get a word in otherwise. He has no problem expressing his feeling such as calling me a spoiled brat. When I have had to give up everything to pay for him to give me bad advice. Worst decision I have made hire him. Also told me multi times he don’t know what he is doing. I am sure this review will be deleted by him to keep his ratings up probably great criminal lawyer but seems to know nothing about family law.

I do not know who this person is, but I have never, not ever told a parent to not fight for their children or to give them up for adoption. And I have never told anyone that I do not know what I am doing.
I am not sure why this person has chosen to lie about me.

Extremely rude
On initial phone call, Tom asked about information I was not comfortable sharing. He was extremely rude the entire conversation, spoke down to me and hung up on me when I wouldn't answer questions that had nothing to do with the case I was inquiring about. I would not hire this man if he was the last attorney on earth and my survival depended solely on hiring him. Such a shame.

"I endorse this lawyer. Tom is the attorney I turn to when I am faced with a difficult legal issue. He is always willing to discuss trial strategy with me. Tom and I have worked together on a couple of serious Federal Criminal Cases that I was retained on. His assistance was very valuable to these cases."

"Tom is truly an amazing attorney. He has been a mentor to me as well as many lawyers all over Michigan. Tom gave me the opportunity to watch him conduct a complex criminal trial that resulted in the jury rendering a not guilty verdict. I endorse this lawyer."

"Tom is an incredibly knowledgeable, talented attorney who I would recommend to anyone seeking a trial attorney. I met Tom through the Criminal Defense Attorneys of Michigan, where he serves on the teaching faculty for the Trial College and small groups at conferences. Tom's intelligence and talent is apparent from the moment you meet him, and on top of that, he truly cares for the clients he represents."

"Be aware that within the realm of lawyers and "litigators," there are two kinds. Are you sure that the lawyer you're considering is the right kind? What I am talking about are those lawyers who take on your case knowing that they intend to "settle out" or "take a plea," and have no true intention of ever taking your case all the way because, are you ready for this...they're afraid! This results in YOU getting less than what you deserve. Want to avoid this problem? Call Tom Loeb. What Tom understands is that the willingness to go all the way, and the experience to overcome the challenges presented by each case and actually WIN, are what gives you the best odds at those early stages anyway. Tom doesn't just HAVE trial skills, he TEACHES trial skills to other lawyers who wish they did, at the Wayne County Criminal Advocacy Program, the CDAM Trial College, and the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. If LAWYERS turn to Tom with legal problems, why shouldn't you?"

"Tom is a major heavyweight in both the criminal defense and plaintiff civil rights areas of law in Michigan. Tom was my professor at trial college and is an absolute legend in our field. I call Tom all of the time when I have legal questions, and being that he is the Guru of criminal law, he always knows the right answer. Tom routinely hammers police forces for violating our civil rights, and the next day he'll be in court getting a not guilty on a murder trial. Whenever I have a client who has been abused by the police, I give them Tom's number because he's the one person out there I trust to do the best job for my clients. And trust me, I'm not the only attorney who feels that way. Additionally, if you are staring at major time in prison, hiring the right lawyer is crucial. Tom has been winning major federal and state cases for a very long time, and will give you the best chance of winning yours."

"I have known Tom for many years, and he is one of the brightest lawyers in Michigan. Although I am endorsing him as a criminal defense lawyer, he is also one of the best lawyers in Michigan to handle police misconduct cases as well as lawyer disciplinary issues. Tom has an outstanding reputation throughout the state. He is an excellent attorney."
