When my rights were being trampled over, Bedford twp Veteran Center pointed me to Mr. Blume as a lawyer. He is very good at rerouting your mind when you are speaking to him about your case, if you get distracted with non important details, he keeps you on track essentially saving your money/time.
When you hire Mr Blume, you are getting a lot more than you think for your retainer and continued fees.
He is simply worth more than what he charges, and that is my bottom line.
If you give him all of your evidence and annotations etc, he handles the court room; You can mostly sit back and watch him work. Unless I am spoken to, I keep my mouth shut entirely unless directed, and it works out every single time.
When you hire Mr. Blume, he really is All In on your case. He is very very perceptive of peoples' mannerisms, and knows how to approach multiple situations that are all pretty high stress. He is respectful to the court, and he will make sure your concerns are heard while in the hearing.
*Have patience, always*; court often moves slow. Sometimes there are days you all show up with lawyers and the court doesn't handle the business You wanted. That's more often than not, out of a lawyers control.
In the end, do you want what's best for you and yours? This man will help you get there.
I type this as I was awarded majority custody of my kiddos through our efforts together, and I cannot thank him enough for his efforts.
Sean A. Blume steps in during family crisis and shows incredible support. He is understanding, attentive, organized, realistic, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Family court is very stressful and scary when don’t understand what is going on. He walked me through everything and continuously backs up my family’s needs. I am very grateful for Sean.
I worked in the Wayne County Juvenile Court in Detroit for 5 years and spent another 4 years working in non-profits assisting foster youth transition out of the foster care system. What I learned doing this work has allowed me to bring a unique understanding of how family law issues specifically impact children.
I am a state-certified mediator and have a deep understanding of how to manage high conflict cases. I have successfully handled complex family law cases in the areas of Custody, Guardianship, Adoption, and Divorces.
I am able to think outside the box and have used that ability to create outcomes in high conflict cases where other attorneys had already told my clients that what they wanted was impossible.
I bring all of this knowledge and experience to every single case where I personally handle every aspect from beginning to end.

Amazing attorney!!
I will always be so grateful and appreciative for how Sean Blume handled my divorce. I was so lost, vulnerable and alone once I realized my marriage was over. Sean was supportive and comforting during my emotional times. He never tried to hurry me through and took the time to listen. I felt secure and protected as he represented my children and I.
While my ex's attorney was trying every slimy move.
Sean would not go down to his level and I could see how much the judge appreciated that. Sean kept the proceedings as quick as possible and thankfully his morals and ethics are above most of my friends attornies. I was worried after hearing their cases of long drawn out divorces due to attorney greed. Thank you so much Sean for keeping my children's and my best interest at heart.

Excellent Work
I worked with Sean in 2015 with my child custody case and he was great. He looked into all the facts and I knew he was doing what was best for myself and my children. I would recommend him to fight for anyone anyday as he is dedicated to his work.

Best Attorney!
Best attorney hands down! I could never go to anyone else! I went to Sean Blume 3 years ago, young, scared and not knowing what to do. I had a very difficult custody/support battle to fight and my back was against a wall. I handed everything over to Sean, and it was the best decision I ever made. He handled my case more than efficiently, professionally, and most importantly sincerely. I have a very difficult ex, who made and still makes everything a battle. I felt like I was always going to live my life in fear. Until Sean. He went above and beyond for my case, secured mine, and my daughter's safety, support, and my custody over her. I have been fighting on and off for the last 3 years, and I turn to him every time, at any moment. And he has never let me down for one second. It's the scariest thing walking into that court room, knowing your fighting over custody of your child. But now, I can walk into any court room, with my head held high knowing I have the best of the best, and I can put my fears aside. You want your case handled the best way possible? Go to Sean Blume! I will always he foreverly grateful for him! Thank you so much Sean!

Caring Representation
Sean was an excellent choice to represent me during my divorce. He handled my case with care while advising me of matters in the best interest of me and child. He asked thoughtful questions, explained the laws to me in terms I could understand, and was always honest about situations. I am so thankful that I had Sean during this process! I recommend him to anyone dealing with family court issues.

Best Attorney...Thank you Sean Blume
I consulted with several attorneys before selecting Sean Blume.
I hired Sean to represent me during my divorce. He was very professional, open, honest, and hard working. He was forth right with information and regularly communicated with me to keep me informed. He was very friendly and helped me through what could have been a very difficult time. I would recommend Sean A Blume to friends, family, and strangers. He really is one of the good attorney's out there. Thank you Sean!

Grateful for Information
Preparing for child visitation. Early in the process and want to be proactive for the protection of my great grandson. His mother & I met with Sean for a consultation some time ago and he answered many questions. My grandson, the biological father, is beginning the process of paying child support (his son almost 5) and wanting visitation. The mother & I concerned as child in question does not know his father. I reached out, with mothers permission, to see what she should be doing on her end. Sean asked for any papers mother has received so far, which she e-mailed to him. He said at this point nothing to be done until she is contacted by FOC with either a court date or a temporary visitation order. At that point mother should contact him. He will be there every step of the way to guide in the process. The mother & I both liked him when we met with him and totally appreciated his knowledge and patience when I’m sure both of us asked the same things repeatedly. We both feel her son’s well being in very good hands.

High conflict ex/parenting time issues
Sean wrapped up and made right what was a 3+ year ongoing and exhausting post judgment battle with my ex over parenting time. I was at the end of my rope trying to co-parent with someone who wanted everything done his way and who refused to give an inch. I went through 3 attorneys before I met Sean. I tried to explain to each attorney that my ex loves to create conflict and that his attorney was as shady as he was, but they didn't take me seriously. The first rule of battle is to know your opponent and it was only in hindsight that each attorney started to realize that I wasn't exaggerating about my ex, but by that time it was of course too late. I really felt so defeated and exhausted. I had almost given up hope when I met Sean. The first thing I noticed was his compassion for my situation and the fact that he was able to really listen as I explained my case. He recognized the patterns of my ex and he effectively created a strategy to deal with the many distractions created by my ex which he used to deflect attention away from the main issue and to sabotage my efforts. Sean really went the extra mile. He took the time to really understand, then research and analyze my case so that he understood his opponent before forming his strategy. He warned me that it would be a process, that it would take some time, and he prepared me for the fees. He said that he believed he could achieve what needed to happen for the security and well-being of my child, and that we would switch from playing defense to playing offense. I am so happy to say that he came through with everything I needed. More than I thought could happen. The conflict with my ex has gone down to next to nothing and my child is happy, peaceful and secure. I will be forever grateful for what he was able to do for us and I recommend him for anyone engaged in a high conflict situation with an ex who refuses to be flexible or to follow the court's orders.

Impossible made possible
My wife and I were told over and over by several lawyers that what we wanted was not possible, that it was a waste of time, it would be to expensive. Sean went against the odds to make it happen for us, worked with us like a friend always was available for questions and answers and worked with us and our financial needs. I would recommend him to anyone in need of legal assistance and will forever use Sean for any of my legal matters.

So thankful I had Sean representing me!
Sean Blume is an excellent choice for your legal representation. He and I worked together during my divorce case. Sean was the THIRD and FINAL lawyer I hired. The first two seemed to tread water and keep their meter running - but as soon as Sean Blume was retained, my case progressed quickly and smoothly. He is intelligent, understanding, knowledgeable, diplomatic and most of all, eager to fight for what is right. I was especially thankful for his experience with representing children's interests. The custody portion of our settlement was the most difficult to negotiate. Thus, I felt confident and comfortable that Sean would have the experience and finesse to navigate us through successfully.

Calming & Knowledgeable
Mr Blume was the 3rd attorney I hired! My ex-husband was very difficult to deal with and Sean was always available to ease my worries. He stood by me through what seemed like an eternity of court battles. My battle has been over for 4 yrs now but I still recommend Sean to whoever is looking for an attorney.

Mr. Blume
I was referred to Mr. Blume through a family member who is an attorney. There are several things he did that I found to be very good. These included:
*Thorough questioning of me and all parties involved in my case.
*Willing to ask the tough questions when required.
*Answering texts, emails, phone calls in a timely manner
*Sending all related paper work to me either through email or mail.
*Being up front and honest with me as it related to my particular circumstances.
*Coming up with options I had not thought of.
*Aggressively going after facts and documentation as it related to my case.
*Listening to my concerns and ideas.
*Being up front and honest when he indicated he needed to consult with a more knowledgeable person on a paritcular aspect of my case.
I would have given Mr. Blume an excellent rating but there were a few times when his secretarial staff did not follow through.

Seemed good
I spoke with him about my case and he seemed knowledgeable about my particular questions. He’s endorsed by a disbarred attorney and this is was troubling for me. Seemed good even though I went with someone else.

Inept and Slimy
I scheduled a consultation meeting with Mr. Blume to discuss the possibility of filing for divorce/custody. He forgot we had a meeting and then was very unorganized and rushed. He basically discussed his retainer and did not enlighten me whatsoever to the process and asked if I wanted to pay the retainer in full that day. After some research I see he filed for business bankruptcy in 2017. I wouldn't trust a man who can't keep his business affairs in order with my lawnmower, much less something as paramount as divorce/custody/parenting time. You've been warned.
