Jonathan Andrew Paul

To complicate matters, I violated my probation in the first charge before my court date on the second charge. Things were looking bleak for me. I was on my second DUI and it felt like the world was closing in around me. I received an MIP the night that I drank for the first time at college and I was very freaked out, anxious and worried that it would harm my future drastically. Mr. Paul was reassuring throughout the whole process, saying that he would help me as best he could while coaxing me through all of the nece...ssary steps in order to have the best chance of passing through this difficult phase with as little hardships or surprises as possible. My university however, messed up and did not send clarification that I had completed the necessary programs that I was required to take following my incident and thus, I was called into court once more, this time with the threat of both the MIP and my alleged failure to complete the necessary programs remaining on my permanent record. He contacted both the court and my school and managed to help get the MIP dropped from my record as well as sort out the problems that stemmed from my schools shortcomings. He was very fast when it came to responding to forms of communications and although I was anxious throughout this whole process, Mr. Paul helped make it painless and feel well undercontrol.

I originally signed up for a court appointed attorney until an individual at a Cleptomaniac and Shoplifters Anonymous (CASA) meeting as well as the group facilitator highly suggested I reconsider and find a way to hire Jonathan Paul at kelly&kelly law firm. They were able to have my pre-trial date pushed to a later time which allowed me to focus entirely on my studies and complete many of the different aspects of their proactive program. I finally met with Mr. Paul and Tiffany Storm the day after sitting for an 8 hour exam and the day before my pre-trial and at this meeting, to my surprise, Mr.Paul had already went to my particular court and met with my judge and prosecuter and began the negotiations. He assured me I had nothing to worry about going into court the following morning and because I had done everything that was asked of me as well as went beyond the recommendations I was much more confident going before the judge. The morning of my court time Jonathan was done speaking with the prosecutor even before our agreed meeting time and while I was incredibly embarrassed for generally being a very punctual individual and being tardy that morning, Mr. Paul was still very calm, understanding, reassuring, and confident! He presented a compilation of documents I had to the prosecutor and was able to obtain a double dismissal of my case, by first having the retail fraud charge dropped to “disorderly person” and the disorderly person charge to be dropped after completion of probation. My first meeting with the probation officer also went very smoothly as I had voluntarily already completed many of the elements that would have been ordered by the court or been a part of probation, making this probation time period that much simpler. The probation officer was also impressed with the work I had put in post offense and prior to my court date/ probation meeting.
