I prepared an application for Aid and Attendance for a client and she was awarded benefits. While the client received benefits for many months, she passed away before the VA paid her the amount owed b ... etween the date her application was submitted and when it was approved. I prepared an application for accrued benefits, based on a family member having paid funeral expenses, and was able to obtain an award of the retroactive VA benefits that were owed.
